EBAY question, what am I doing wrong?

I haven't done Ebay in a while so perhaps something changed, but I cannot do a search for the items I listed and see them pop up in recently listed or anywhere! I can only pull them up in "My EBAY". I do it as a safeguard so I can see that others can find it.. does EBAY have some sort of block now so I can only see from just my page?

Anyone that wants to try to look for it I have it listed as "3T boys clothes Disney" and it was listed today.. it has a pooh and tigger outfit and jean shorts and green denim pants.

Any help would be appreciated!

Well, i know from experience it can take 2-4 hours to even show up now!! Its a pain!! So, depending on when ya launched the auction, give it some time?

I don't see it as of yet??

Do you own a store?

My advice don't panic yet..lol!!

item end in 7542? I think I see it...
Prob just took some time.
Good Luck!!

May I also mention that I would so throw your kids clothes in a garage sale, $1/2 a piece and it usually just goes, ...no fees no packing no dealing with people, and moms usually LOVE finding quality kids clothes....Just thought I'd mention it especially if you have a bunch of stuff....list on craigslist for your garage sale with your specific (ie.. BOYS 3T, Disney etc) and you may be surprised

Thanks so much! It is that one!

I never have luck at garage sales, I always do better on Ebay than garage sales for some reason..

Well, at least you found it, so I have hope!

I really should look into craigslist, but the insertion fees at least are free, so just the final price they will get me..

You also have to remember that eBay no longer automatically lists items in the order of the auction ending times. Certain sellers get priority listings near the top of every search (power sellers, stores, regular frequent sellers, etc get priority over casual sellers & those with less than stellar ratings).

Good luck!

Good luck with your auctions. Here's hoping there's a last minute bidding war between competitive overindulgent grandmoms...:woohoo:

Search placement is the biggest problem for me these days. I've been raised for quite a while now, but went to standard search placement the other day after dealing with a hard to please buyer who doesn't understand that UPS ground sent coast to coast takes more than 3 days from the time you send paypal to arrive at your door. Once it arrived, they couldn't say enough nice things but by then it was too late b/c they'd already left FB & damaged my DSRs.

The difference in the number of people who've even clicked on my auctions this week is vastly lower than last week when I had raised placement in search results. In the next few days, it should return to raised as more buyers leave me FB, but that'll likely be too late for a few high dollar items I have ending tomorrow way too cheap. :sad2:

If my seller dashboard ever said lowered, there's no way I'd be able to justify paying ebay fees anymore b/c I'm certain nobody would see my stuff at all. There's just too many thousands of other same category items to sort thru to find the lowered placement auctions at the bottom - and so few people these days who take the time to search by 'newly listed' or 'ending first'.

FTR - Ebay tells bidders that the seller will never know who dinged their stars but, unless you get more than ten or twenty feedback comments a day, it isn't hard to tell - then it's welcome to their blocked bidder list and the BBLs of every other seller they know too as most sellers I know share BBLs these days in an effort to try to avoid hassles.

Wow, I heard things had gone downhill, but wow!

That stinks, and I hope not to have to use them much longer, just to unload some extra stuff, we don't have enough to justify missing a couple days of work to sit in the heat doing a Garage sale.

Wish me luck, in the olden glory days of Ebay I got myself a 100% rating and would hate to lose it now!

I found this very interesting and tried to find my "seller dashboard" in MyEbay. Where is it?:confused3

It used to be easier to find, on the left side of the my ebay page, but now it's a drop-down link from the "account" tab on your my ebay page. Once you get to the dashboard page you can click on the "good" link or whatever to see more numbers/info.

You have to have received 10 DSR star ratings in the last 12 months for a rating number - Anything 4.2 or below in any one category these days will get ebay sellers an unwanted vacation... aka, a suspension. Ironically they won't stop you from buying though - just selling so you can pay for what you buy...:headache:
