Ebay international shipping question

When I use the USPS site to look up international postage, I get many different choices of type of postage: Global Express Guaranteed, Global Express Mail, Global Priority Mail, Airmail Letter Post, Airmail Parcel Post, Economy Surface Letter Post, Economy Surface Parcel Post.

Which one do I use for my postage quote if it is a package I am shipping? I'm guessing Airmail Parcel Post.

Depends on what you are sending. If the package is less than 4 pounds you can use Airmail Letter Post but cannot get insurance. Airmail Parcel Post can get insurance. I would give the buyer a choice, showing anticipated travel times.

How large is your package and how much does it weigh. If L+W+H<=36" AND the weight<=4lbs, then you can use Letter Post which is much cheaper (but you can't buy insurance on it). Also, don't use economy!

Box is relatively small and weighs between 2 and 3 pounds, so I guess I can use letter post.

I only offer Airmail - under 4 pounds is letter post, which is cheap and fast! Over 4 pounds is parcel post, which is more but still fast. I know longer offer Economy and refuse it when asked as I've had so many customers say their packages never arrived, so I was out a lot in refunds. Definitely not worth it!

Can't you select the service from the options on "calculate postage" when making the listing. Then it automatically figures out the price for shipping to wherever they are. I don't ship internationally but maybe the calculator will take care of the pricing for international also.
