I hope someone can help me with this because for the life of me I cannot find a simple answer on ebay.

OK..I listed a slipcover that I purchased at a apottery Barn retail store which I could not use. Unfortunately, Pottery Barn miselabeled it and it turned out to be a different size than indicated on the box. The item has been returned but I cannot figure out how to issue a refund so that I may recoup the $50 final value fee. I see a "Payment" Was Refunded" icon inder icon legend but have not idea how to mark it as such.

I've already lost $65 in paypal and shipping fees. This is really turning out to be a disaster! Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You have to have the transaction cancelled. You go the the resolution center in myebay and follow the steps to cancel the transaction. You will not get your final value fee back unless the buyer agrees to cancel as well

Sounds like you need to go to paypal and issue a refund to the buyer. After you refund their money, then go to the item and click on resolve a problem. Click to cancel the transaction. They buyer will then need to click to cancel the transaction. If you do this, you should be okay.Once you refund, paypal will refund your fees. Dont panic..You should be ok.

$50 final value fee?! You sold a slip cover for over $500!?!? Holy moly!! Guess I will be keeping my eyes open for Pottery Barn slip covers to resell!!!!

Your paypal fees will be refunded once you issue a full refund through them. You may or may not get your ebay fees back based on whether the buyer accepts the cancelled transaction. I had a package go missing in the mail. I issued a full refund and then the stinkin buyer refused my transaction cancel so I had to pay the ebay fees. It really pissed me off cause I could have argued the whole thing with my tracking number (I knew ebay would side with her though so I just gave in.) You will not be able to recoup your shipping fees unfortunately.
