What's the deal with these tickets I'm seeing offered on ebay for VERY cheap prices? Anyone know anything about them??

Lots of them are probably frequent flyer ticktets. Technically it is against the rules of the frequent flyer program to sell them which means the airline can void the ticket if they find out you purchased them. They could also be consolidator tickets. The consolidators or tour companies buy blocks of tickets at a discount. I would check with the seller to see what type of ticket it is before I buy it.

Last year we checked into some of these tickets. They seemed too good to be true. The ones that I looked at were promotional tickets that required you to stay at certain resorts. There were many resorts to choose from, again still seemed to good. Then I read an article that said these tickets were technically non-transferable and you could be denied boarding if the airline found out. I really don't know how they work, I just didn't want to take any chances. I also emailed the seller questioning if these tickets were valid and transferable. The seller never responded. I am sure there are many valid offers out there, these just didn't seem to be.

If they are the promotional tickets offered when you stay at a particular hotel, they aren't that good of deal. I had a "legitimate" pair of these and they wanted you to pay pretty much rack rate for the hotel for 5-7 nights. Everytime I thought of using them, it was cheaper to pay for my airline ticket and get a discounted rate for the room.
