Ebates 20% back for Orbitz tickets

If it helps anyone, I just went into MDE and tested the tickets. I made FP+ for mid April, which is a month after my Orbitz dates. I was able to schedule FP+ for our entire party (I the cancelled them!).

If you're really that worried, don't invest such a large amount of money on tickets. You'll end up spending more on ulcer medications that you will save on the tickets.

Really, you have asked this question repeatedly. Other than those of us who did this deal in the past and have already confirmed that the tickets were regular MYW tickets, what more do you want in the way of reassurance?

I just wanted to know if anyone spoke to Disney about the tickets for this promotion not what happened during the last one. I am sorry if my questions seem repetitive. Your right I am worrying too much. I already bought the tickets.

Its not really a Disney promo though so I don't think it would be any different. Orbitz always sells tickets and ebates always offers cash back on them, it just happened to be higher this week.

Ok, glad for all the reports that people have been able to link their tickets through this promotion! I had been on the fence, as we are going in June, and FP+ will be importan; but with the surprise price increase, I was irritated, and decided to pull the trigger! I'll have to go back and read through posts to see exactly how to do it, but it will be worth it for the $200 savings on the tickets!

Just placed a ticket order which we'll use to upgrade to FL Resident APs this summer after we relocate to the Orlando area!

Does anyone know if it's possible to pick up the tickets at Guest Services at Downtown Disney? I know I purchased APs there once several years ago. We'll be staying at the Hilton during our house-hunting trip in April, and I thought it would be nice to pick up the tickets at that time rather than waiting several months. I guess we could always drive to a park (or bus from Downtown Disney) if needed. :drive:

I'm not sure whether you can exchange the voucher in DtD. It specifies the 4 theme parks by name but says nothing about ticket booths at the waterparks nor guest services in DtD.

Be aware that there is no direct bus service from DtD to the parks (unless Disney is still running buses to AK?, they were doing a short-term study in the fall to see if it was worthwhile). The other possibility would be to take a bus to the BC and walk to the International Gateway, or take a bus to CR and walk to the MK. You can also make a dining reservation at any of the Epcot area resorts, park at the resort for a few hours and then walk over to Epcot International Gateway or HS afterward to pick up you tickets.

Am I the only one who ordered on Tuesday that hasn't been credited thru Ebates yet? Has anyone ever not been credited? I am so nervous because this is my first Ebates purchase. I keep thinking maybe I did something wrong, but I clicked thru Ebates and got a confirmation from Orbitz. I contacted Ebates, but got the 7 days email. Any reassurance would be so appreciated :)

I am new to this forum and am sorry if this question was already asked.

I purchased the 2-Day Base Ticket for Universal Orlando theme parks. When I purchased at Orbitz I picked the dates between Aug 28 and Aug 31 and I have those dates as valid dates on my voucher. Now my plans had changed and I need to go to Orlando this April instead. Would I be able to use this voucher and get the tickets to use them in April even though it was earlier than the valid dates on my voucher?

There were discussions on this forum if the voucher can be used after the valid dates but didn't find any discussion on whether it can be used earlier than the valid dates.

Thanks for your help in advance!

So I was just getting on to give my love to all you Disers for posting this deal and read that Disney increased prices today. I was going to say that I saved 9% right off by buying through Orbitz (not counting the EBates cash back) but now it's 13.5%! That's a great savings in and of itself. Add the 20% I'll get through EBates, and I just saved 30.8% by deciding to pull the trigger and buy last night instead of waiting until this Thursday like I had originally planned. That's incredible. Some would have called it impossible.

You all rock!!!!:cool1::cool1::cool1:

So far $760 spent for 4 nights at Boardwalk renting DVC points, $821.14 for 5 day base tickets, and $15 for flight fees (using Southwest Points for tickets)! $1596.14 for 5 days Disney Deluxe- AMAZING! My dream Disney vacation courtesy of Budget minded people like you. Thank you!

Call Orbitz. Someone tried early with Disney tickets and orbitz and Disney tried but couldn't get it to work. He was already at Disney, though. Orbitz did refund his money he paid for the tickets since he couldn't get them early. If you call now, there is hopefully enough time for them to get the date change worked out. I wouldn't expect a refund as it clearly states no cancellations or refunds, but it is nice to know their customer service sometimes does it. At the very least you could then rebook for your new dates or a little earlier if you want to be safe.

Bought my tickets last night! $1643 for 4 adults and 2 kids for 5 days. Will add another day when we arrive. Hoping to get my ebates message soon!

We picked up our tickets at DTD guest services when we used an ebates/orbitz voucher last August. I would think that it would still work, but DTD is not listed on the voucher.

What did I do wrong?

Activities
Universal Orlando Theme Parks $407.97
Walt Disney World®... $1,025.61
Total due at booking $1,433.58

Today in my Ebates I have a pending credit for $81.59.

It appears I only got the Ebate off the Universal tix...... I have sent an email to Ebates requesting them to make the correction. I hope this goes smoothly!

Thanks so much, kenly777! I think it will be worth a try! ;)

Can I take the tickets off my WDW package, booked with a room-only pin, and do this deal for the tickets. Are you Abe to link them to your reservation, or how does that work? :confused3

So to update on my own questions...they were able to switch me to a room-only reservation with a bit of work since the PIN code had expired; they got approval to override which was awesome.

Do you still have to pickup anything at will-call if you link them via MDE?

Also, I need 7 days...so do I just buy a 7 day or can you upgrade the 3+2 day tickets, or is it the same either way.

And it sounds like I won't even have to go to will-call as long as I get the magic code from Orbitz and link them via MDE. I went ahead and did the 7 days tickets even though doing the 3+2 & upgrading to 7 while at WDW would have saved us another $80...but my wife was like we are already saving $300, let's save the hassle of having to do anything extra and I was cool with that.

I will link my tickets to MDE and am staying onsite so I know I won't have to pick up tickets. But I have family staying offsite. I bought their tickets using this deal. I will also link their tickets to MDE in hopes that offsite guests will be able to take advantage of FP+ by June. So my question is that I am assuming they will still need to pick up their tickets since they are offsite???

Thanks for your feedback!
I called Orbitz and they were not willing to change the dates. I guess I have to stick to the dates I have on the tickets.

You don't have to stick to the dates you put in with Orbitz. Once the tickets are linked to your MDE account, you can go and use them whenever. I bought my tickets with Orbitz on Thursday, and put in dates for June 2014. I was able to link the tickets today, and they show up in MDE just like any other normal Disney ticket. They'll remain valid until 14 days after the first time they're used.

EDIT: Sorry, I didn't realize you were talking about Universal tickets. What I said is true for Disney tickets. I don't know about Universal. Sorry!

Sorry for the possibly dumb question but the last time I was at WDW there was no such thing as MDE and so therefore I am not familiar with the new system.

If Orbitz provides the information to link the tickets to MDE, does this mean one does not have to pick up anything from Will Call using the vouchers and the tickets will remain valid indefinitely if unused?

Hi folks, I'm new here and I decided to get on this deal. I purchased two 4+1 park hopper tickets for Disneyland after clicking through ebates. In the orbitz voucher it states 'Valid dates: XXX' (XXX -> the dates that I entered when ordering through orbitz). If we choose to go on a different date, will we have problems using the vouchers? Thanks!
