Ebates 20% back for Orbitz tickets

for those who have vouchers...
Please tell me if it has the dates that you were asked to put in from Orbitz?
ALSO--
I've read through this thread but still not sure about redemption outside of these dates. What's the consensus here?

ok another dilemma. I'm wanting to buy the tickets but also reserve a room and DDP via.Disney's sites but the site won't let me.do the DDP without myw tickets. How.do I get around that? Reserve the room? Add the tickets and the DDP.later? Vacation planned for August.

This has been answered a ton, but you cannot add a dining plan if you buy tix through Orbitz.
The only "workaround" that I can think of would be:
  1. Upgrade those tickets to an annual pass. AP holders can book a package that includes just room+dining plan.
  2. Rent DVC points and have the dining plan added to the reservation. DVC owners do not need to purchase tickets in order to add the dining plan to their reservations.

That's it in its entirety, misspellings included. Take it for whatever you want. I don't think that anyone has attempted to redeem their voucher outside of the dates that they entered when they purchased it. You would really need to contact Orbitz -in writing-if you want assurance that you will be able to redeem your will call voucher prior to or many days following the date you entered at purchase.

Thank you! I have called and spoken with a manager. He was hard to understand (accent) what I got of the call was that he didn't seem to understand Disney ticketing much at all. Thinking I won't get a response by email before the 20% is gone. May just take my chances and hope that I don't need to cancel/reschedule this trip...I can only assume it's not a problem because folks are essentially redeeming tickets through the linking to their existing reservation now which is probably much earlier than the dates they originally put in with Orbitz.

Wondering what deals people got on Orbitz in comparison to WDW or undercover tourist?? We are just doing one park a day tickets and through Orbitz got a 5 day (4 days plus one day free) for two adults and one child for $822., plus the $164 back. On UC it would have been $849 and that would have been just for 4 days. I think WDW was $870-something. In all the yrs of trips I've planned I've never come across any other ticket discounts. Has the Orbitz discount always been there or is this recent?

Woohoooooo....my tickets linked!!!! I am so excited!!!!!

1. So I called Orbitz at this number 1-888-656-4546.
2. Got through and they asked for my Orbitz Record Locator #. That number is at the top of the email confirmation you got from Orbitz.
3. I gave it to the guy, he confirmed my zip and then asked what he could do.
4. I asked for my Disney Magic Code. He gave me the Disney Magic Code. It was letters followed by numbers.
5. I went onto www.disneyworld.com, signed in and put that number in on the voucher for tickets area.
6. A screen popped up asking me to assign a ticket to each user. I assigned a ticket to each user.
7. Received a confirmation email that my tickets are linked. I am beyond, beyond excited that this worked.

Thanks everyone for the help. Hopefully this helps someone else out too!!

Awesome! Thanks for the explanation.
Anyone know if you changed the dates of your trip would the tickets follow? This may be a way to get around the redemption date issue for me. In the event I needed to reschedule.

This is not really an Orbitz discount. This is a sorta loophole in the eBates system. My guess is that Disney tickets will eventually be excluded from the 20% eBates offers. I am pretty sure they are taking a loss on them.

Thursday night. Call back and speak to someone else.

I just got my tickets linked also. If the CSR on the phone doesn't know what you talking about, be politely persistent. He tried to give me several numbers, including my will call number and an Orbitz A&S code so I had to repeat several times I needed the My Magic number. He eventually found it and the tickets are successfully linked!

Ok, thank you all. I actually just ordered them yesterday, so it just might be too soon, but I don't mind calling again.

Does it take a while to get this "magic code" I just ordered and the rep has no idea what I'm talking about.

This has been posted earlier but this thread is so long that I will post it again. If you'd prefer to email Orbitz for your my magic code, you can email them at CustomerRelations@Orbitz.com. Specially ask for the "My Magic Code". They responded back to me in less than 24 hours.

The code they gave me had 4 letters followed by 8 numbers. I couldn't link it successfully using the mobile app but I was able to easily link it from The Disney MDE website.

First guy had no idea what I was talking about. Gave me Disney's number and told me I had to get it from them. Calling back again...

2nd guy just told me again that I have to wait 5 days, that I have to callback.

If these are tickets people are picking up directly from disney, why will they not work if I link them in my system? Will I not still have a package?

You will not have a package because you will have booked RO through Disney but then purchased your tickets elsewhere. Just because you pick them up at WDW does mean you purchased from them.

OK. I'm struggling to decide if I should go ahead and keep my package for now and order these and hope for a free dining pin... or just not get these tickets. We usually get PINS but nothing is for sure.

Ugh!
