Ebates 20% back for Orbitz tickets

The confirmation that Ebates gets from its vendors is not the same that the vendors send to their customers. It can take longer for the vendor to verify the sale for Ebates. Save your confirmation email from Orbitz. You may need to copy/paste it into the space provided on the "Where's my cashback?" page on Ebates if the credit doesn't show up within the 7 days that they promised.

I didn't know that it wasn't the same number. But when I sent the email in the first place I did copy-paste it for them in that box. I wouldn't even be worrying about it except that I see so many other people already got theirs. That is why I am concerned about gettingt mine. I don't even mind waiting the 40 days for the money if I have to. I just want to know for sure that I am going to get it.

I used to have issues with ebates back when I first started using them. It had something to do with my firefox settings...anyways... I had to use the "where's my cashback" thing and it always worked out fine. As long as there was a tracking number and some type of proof of purchase (I used the email confirmations the company sent ) ebates would credit me for the purchase.

I'm waiting too. Same situation. I'll wait the 7 days an send my email from Orbitz. Hang in there!!!

Hmm. Never thought about that before. I use mozilla. Honestly, I haven't used ebates as much as I used to. I use upromise more now because most of the time when I check they have a higher percentage rebate and since two of my kids are in college I know I can use the money towards that. I never worried about getting credit from ebates before when I did use it more because it was never that large amount of money. But this will be the biggest rebate for me ever - if I get it! I am trying to stay confident. I do have tracking numbers and email confirmation. So hopefully, they will come through with my rebate. I was going to order two more tickets for my parents, but I hesitate to do that until I know that I am getting the credit.

We've already got a package booked for our April trip and our FP reservations made. I know I'll have to cancel that before I hit our 45 day window (tomorrow!).

But from people's experience, I should soon be able to call Disney with the voucher information and get these linked to our hotel reservation then, right??

I'd hate to cancel our tickets (and FP+s) and then not be able to get new FP+s until we get there.

Why do you have to cancel before the 45 day window?

Because that is the last date to cancel a package without penalty.

Yes, and cancelling the tickets essentially means cancelling the package, since without the tickets, there is no package.

However, we've gotten past this issue and and are now more concerned about the ability to change our dates with the vouchers. I can't seem to find a straight answer on that (Orbitz says no).

But what package would he have to cancel? I'm in a similar situation and I want to make sure I don't want to miss a deadline. If i'm not mistaken, he is looking to buy Orbitz park tickets and replace the ones he currently has on his account. Couldn't that be done at any time?

edit: sorry, I see now that he has purchased the tickets as some sort of "package" that is linked to hotel, etc I assume.

No, he/she currently has or had a package booked through Disney for room and tickets. That would need to be changed to a room only booking before the 45 day window.

Thanks for the heads up. I am planning a DW trip for December of this year. This may help me out.

Was wondering if maybe someone could help me out a bit though. I seem to be having an issue with the pricing. I am a family of 5 but the 5th is still free. 2 adult tickets and 2 child. If I were to buy the tickets on orbitz through ebates, how much would I save? Every time I do the calculations I am getting different numbers and I think I must not be factoring in everything.
Is it cheaper for me to buy a 10 day PH ticket through Orbitz and then upgrade to a AP at Disney or do the 3 plus 2 free and upgrade? Also, how do I know I am getting the 20% back? I don't see it anywhere and I have never used ebates before. All I see is Orbucks that I will earn.
Plus, by doing this, am I completely out of the possibility of free dining? I think so but want to clarify.

If I pick up my tickets at will call before my actual trip date, will I be able to do FP+ 60 days out? My nana will be cruising by there in a few weeks and could get them for me. Is that allowed?

Any help would be great. If I can pay only a few hundred more to do An AP over going 8 days just this year, that would be awesome and would allow me to go again next year.

Thanks in advance for any help you all could offer me.
Becky

Has anyone done this deal today? I'm finally ready to pull the trigger, however I'm having a hard time telling if it's still a 20% rebate...

My cash back is pending!!! Wohooo!! Im new to ebates. How does the paypal option work? Or should I do the check route? What do most of you guys do??

Long time lurker, first time poster. Does anyone know when this offer is good until? I'd like to book the tickets when the new billing cycle on my Sapphire Preferred starts to get a new 30 day float! :-)

Also, has anyone booked on Orbitz before with the Chase Sapphire Preferred and gotten the 2% UR points for travel purchases?

You need to order via the ebates link to get the cash back. It will not show anywhere on the orbitz site. You can't do a dining plan, paid or free as you need a package to do that and a package includes tickets. No guarantee on FP+ there is one person who reported it working but it took several calls to IT and may be an isolated case.

I bought two child and one adult 5 day base tickets last night. They were already almost $30 less than gate prices through Orbitz, so that was a huge savings right there! I paid $803.45 versus $882.89 direct from Disney. 20% cash back will save me another $160.69, for a total savings of $240.13 on three tickets! My cash back isn't showing as pending or anything yet, but hopefully it will be soon.

Frankly, I can't imagine how they can afford to run a deal this good, but I'm glad they did! It does look like the deal is still going on, so if anyone plans to do it, I'd do it now, before it ends.

I've used my Chase Sapphire on Orbitz for these tickets before and it is considered a travel expense. I got double points, so this would be like getting a 22% discount on your tickets.

As to when the Orbitz offer will end, no one really knows. It's still there today. Orbitz offers are very fluid and they can change without notice. It could be that the offer will be good for the entire week or month. Or there could be a maximum dollar amount in rebates that Orbitz has set for paying out with this offer and once it is reached, the offer will change. The only thing that is a sure thing is that the offer is there now.
