I purchased on Wednesday and it just posted to my ebates account this afternoon. I'd give it a week before calling them, though. It can depend on so many factors.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I was able to link these tickets to MDE! On another thread someone posted that you need to email Orbitz Customer Relations and ask for your "My Magic Code" so you can link your tickets. I bought my tickets Tuesday, then emailed Orbitz yesterday morning asking for the code. I got a response back this morning with the code. The email address is CustomerRelations@Orbitz.com.

I really want to jump on this deal. My problem is I have 4 one day park hoppers (unused) that I was planning on using the value of toward our tickets in June. I can't buy the orbitz base tickets, then use the value of the other tickets to upgrade the base tickets, right?

I could buy the B3G2 hoppers, use then upgrade to 6 days, and then just get the one day hoppers off my KTTW cards and use those. But that's kinda like paying for PH twice. If I should wait and get tickets there, I'm risking a price increase...

What to do??? I'm not planning another trip for at least 3-4 years.

You cannot apply two tickets toward the upgrade to a single ticket. So you would not be able to combine the 1-day hopper with the 5-day hopper from Orbitz in order to upgrade to a ticket with 7 or more days on it.

You need to sit down and really do some math in order to decide which will be a better deal for you. Take the two scenarios that you described and figure out what your final OOP cost will be based on today's gate prices. Don't forget to subtract the rebate that you will eventually get from ebates from your OOP cost in the scenario where you purchase the 5-day hoppers from Orbitz. Whichever scenario gives you the lower OOP cost is the one that you should take.

Orbitz doesn't sell 1-day tickets. You can purchase the 5-day ticket on Orbitz and upgrade itto a 6-day ticket at Disney for less than what the 6-day ticket would cost on Orbitz .

You will get Magic Bands if you are stay onsite, regardless of where you purchase your tickets. Offsite guests don't get Magic Bands as of right now and Disney is not indicating any plans to do it for offsite guests any time soon.

It is one code for all tickets. Once linked it lists each ticket you bought separately and you have to assign each ticket to a member in your party. That is how it knows which magic band to put the ticket on.

I ordered Tuesday. As soon as the charge changed from pending, the cashback showed up in my EBates account. My tickets are for October.

So your travel dates were for October but you already got the rebate in your acct? I was wondering if I should put my original date (8/25-9/1) or something sooner like March so I can get the rebate faster since don't you have to wait 40 days til AFTER you travel to get the rebate?

Yes it is 20% off the entire purchase.

If u buy the tix on orbitz and later on free dining is offered would I be able to take advantage of free dining with just the room purchase?

Ebates states it could be up to 40 days after the voucher is used but most of us had it appear in our Ebates cash pending account in 1-2 days.
