I still haven't done ANYTHING to start looking into the ports for the cruise,

I put some information on Gibraltar on the website. I've found some links to the cable car (including prices/hours/etc.) and other activities that I'll add soon. I also hope to put info up for the other ports soon.

Where are you staying in Chicago??? I'm in the burbs!
I'm at the Sheraton Downtown - beautiful hotel! Went to go get a hotdog at Portillo's - Ian's recommendation.
I think I picked the cheap $400 a night hotel :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Cheap, ya right...I think it was AC Barcelona. If my memory was correct, they had comment about adding 2 children in a room, which is very hard to find in Barcelona, so if Paul and Molly meet us in Barcelona I'm hoping to just add them directly thru the hotel (or cheat and sneak them in) 2 extra nights also. I wish I knew when their spring break was, hopefully it will fall into some of the time, so that Molly can come along too, I really can't take her out of school for 2 weeks in 8th grade.
I'm hoping our spring break is one of those weeks, but am not too optimistic. It usually is during Easter week, or the week before...
HAve a great time in Chicago!!!:goodvibes
Gina
I'm having a great time in Chicago, thanks Gina! Hope your TA got your OBC worked out...from Ian's explaination, might have their hands tied since their commission is lower.

Ok, off to get some Souffle from the restaurant's hotel!
Lisa

so if they upgrade me from my cat 3 can i get a cat 1????????

::yes:: and then I get your 3 :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: sounds fair to me :goodvibes Hey I know Lisa will cringe when I do this, but how much was the cat 3?

Just wanted to ask my fellow experienced repo cruisers a question. How many formal nights will we have on board our 14 day cruise? DW wants to know how many dressy dresses she will need to bring along. I'm still wearing my ol' comfortable cut off jeans. Yes the ones with the strings hanging down past my knees!!!!:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

From wehat i could see on the navigators and in the trip reports, there is only 1 formal night.

On the past 14-night cruises there were 2 Formal Nights and 1 Semi-Formal Night.

I wonder if it is even possible to get through 14 days without doing laundry........I will make that my quest for the next 18 months, to find a way to make that happen.
Probably easier when you don't have kids, right? :thumbsup2

Okay, I think I am way behind the times here. Since when have we been able to pre-pay our tips? When I called to add airfare, I mentioned all I had left to pay was tips. The CM told me that I could pre-pay those now. Of course, I still can add extra on the cruise if I like (which I always do). But it is nice to know, I only have to pay the extra.

BTW a Cat 3 for 2A and 1 Teen was $10,200 on Monday. There was only ONE left.

for me it is called Laundry service - it is always a part of our budget for the trip - we are actually going to take less this trip because of traveling Europe afterwards - so my goal will be how many mix and match outfits can I do in the least amount of space :) the less I take - the less I have to pack - and that means more fun time on the cruise!

We pre-paid tips and what I thought we needed for spending money using my Disney Visa - because what I learned on my first cruise what I spent on the cruise did not qualify for the 6 months no interest - because it was purchased on the cruise - BUT anything charged through disney BEFORE the trip qualifies - so I did the tips, excursion costs, spending money and it worked like a charm. Will do that again this cruise.

Actually, I have the exact opposite approach. Last cruise, we did back to back. I only packed for one and did laundry on the day between. It was so nice to not deal with all that luggage. So if you see me wear the same shirt a few time over the course of 14 days- I promise it has been washed. :) :) :)

I don't mind laundry when I can sit at the pool or on my veranda while it washes. :woohoo:

I plan to pack enough underware to change every day. Other then that....I will do the old college sniff test!

:thumbsup2 It will help that it is not the Summer and shouldn't be sweatin too much :rotfl2:

We are doin all the Disney transfers...so don't have to worry so much about schlepin the suitcases around. One suitcase a piece with one extra for things we buy.....Our cabin is close to laundry, and with a 7 year old, I will wash a couple loads if I HAVE to.

We actually do a combination of both. I usually do a load or two of underwear, jeans/shorts and pajamas but send out shirts, nice pants and anything that would require pressing. It's easy enough to take care of the above laundry items, but the nicer stuff comes back from the DCL laundry looking so wonderful!

On our last cruise (also a back-to-back) we also did laundry on the transition day between the sailings, but we won't have that luxury this time. I'm anticipating some very busy laundry rooms on this cruise.

Doing your own laundry...$1.00 to wash and $1.00+ to dry
Sending it to the DCL Laundry...Somewhat more expensive
Febreeze, a Tide Stain Stick and Downy Wrinkle Release (or whatever it's called!)...PRICELESS!
