We got a 1 bedroom for myself, DH, two dd's ages 5 and 7 at time of sailing and ds who will be 3. I'm so happy to see that there will be other young children on board....two weeks will be plenty of time for them to make some good friends!

Looking forward to getting to know everyone on the board!

Hi Dave :flower3:

I opted to lock in the airfare as we can always cancel it if we find better.

We are also in San Jose, near Santana Row, what area of town are you from?

It will be me & my DS, Wilson for a mommy & me cruise. I just told him and he said, "another cruise" just like his father.:rotfl2: He will love it when time comes.

Who is crusing in your group?

That is a good price for airfare.

In Willow Glen in the Eichler homes near St Christopher. So we are within a few miles of each other. My herd consists of 5 people (me, my DW Bobbee, my youngest DD Chloe (her older sisters are in College and can't make it), and my Dad and Step Mum (both 82). They also went with us on the 9/28 Double Dip. Traveling with a 4 year old and two 82 year olds is like having 3 children. I caught them eating candy for lunch! We stay in staterooms 7126 and 7128. Easy access to the dining rooms and has that nice back deck that is not usually crowded.

BTW - Mickey's Not So Spooky on 9/27 was fantastic. The park was almost empty. No waits on any rides. Stayed outside the Pooh ride for the fireworks and got a 360 display all around. Best position I've had in years for a fireworks display. Parade was excellent as usual. My DD hit all her rides and was ready to go back to our room in 3 hours with a big bag of candy (hence the lunch the next day that my folks decided to feast on).

Nan - I meant I had to get to work today. I had been on Dis boards and Disney website all morning.....still working ft.

Hey There! We booked ourselves on this cruise this morning. We did the EB Panama Canal in August. We were planning to do the Baltic but were out priced. Our price for a category 4 on this cruise with airfare and transfers was equal to a category 11 on the Baltic! Unless our school system won't let me take the kids out for 2 weeks we will be on board!!! Now I must start saving....

Kim,
I am glad you have 2 girls around the same age my DD will be. Hopefully we can introduce them at the sailaway party and my DD will have some friends to go into the club with!

any1 for some texas hold-em???????????

I might be willing to front the buy in to my able bodied and sneaky boy to kick some booty... he says his "Dangerous Book for Boys" tells you how to play poker:thumbsup2

(I know, I know, Lisa's son ended up in the slammer for this...):rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Lisa where are you?????

Hi all,

Thinking about doing this cruise instead of the Eastern we have booked for next October. What kind of prices are you getting on airfare booked through Disney?

Nan - do you mean Disneylover5 Lisa? Is she going on this cruise? Lisa

Great! My dd's will be 5 and 7 as well. I was worried that there wouldn't be many children.....glad to know that there will be other girls the same age aboard! My girls will look forward to meeting other other kids!

::yes:: and she commented that perhaps she would like too. I was thinking about getting a roommate at the time, but I'm pretty happy planning to share this trip with Willie.

$674 per person for us from SFO from DCL.

dontchalovethatprice???? it kills me to know that I'm paying way over that for SJC to MCO at Xmas for our trip. Of course it's all relative. I remember those $300-400 roundtrips SFO to London/Paris of years gone by....:sad2:

We were quoted $789 through Disney. Does that include transfers from the ship to the airport? Do you know what airline Disney uses?

Are there any other airlines that have 2010 dates out yet that I could check? I am cringing at the idea of paying almost $3200 in airfare, though I guess it's pretty reasonable. :confused3

If we do find a better airfare later on, can we get our $$ back from Disney to book with another airline?

So many questions!! I've never booked airfare through Disney before, so I'm a little worried. Thanks for any insight y'all have!

you can check airfare closer to the cruise date for sure and final payment isn't due for this cruise until 120 days out, 12/10/09, so nothing to worry about in my mind.

Have you looked at one way rates from Barcelona? It isn't cheap, so the rates that DCL is offering are really good in my mind.

So I'm looking around the house for things to sell to get my deposit! :goodvibes Nan, too bad you aren't into purses as I have one to sell! :rotfl:

HI Lisa...I want to know if that would be "the purse" that you have to sell?

:lmao: Where have I heard this before

I'm bummed that we won't be joining you guys.:sad1: but this trip is just not for us.

So if I find something less expensive later on, I can cancel the Disney airfare? I can't find any 2010 rates for airfare online yet, and you're right...I do have another year before I really have to worry about it, so I guess I will just stick with the DCL airfare for now.

::yes:: you can delete the airfare up to before they buy it for you. I can't remember the cut off, but someone here will have that info. Better to stick it on today for how cheap it is and drop it later. BTW, the airfare price can increase closer to cruise date too, so again better to book it early and drop it.

Give us time V... Give us time... (so what number do we start the bribes with???)

Thanks. Since I can't get a rate from Barcelona to anywhere in TN from Disney, i'm going to have to get a 1-way ticket back to TN no matter what. So I'm thinking it doesn't really matter what city in the US I fly into. I wonder what city is the least expensive?

Well, after seeing all of your prices for airfare, I called Disney and added airfare from ORD for $529pp. That is an unbelievable price. We were looking at over $600 for just o/w from Barcelona. Thanks for the tip!
