Does anyone have a good plan for eating your way through the countries at Epcot? If any of you have done this and actually priced it out, how much did it cost to do so? Thanks!! ::MinnieMo

We did this a couple of years ago during the F&W festival and got the samples in most all the countries most of the samples was big enough to share among the 3 of us. Cost less than 5.00 at that time.

Then last week DH and I did the free dining and ate in a different country for dinner each night.

There are several ways to get to try all the food in the WS. Get an appetizer in all the countries or dessert. It doesn't have to be a full meal. Share among 2 or 3 ppl in your party and everyone gets a taste yet you never get hungry either.

We do this pretty often for dinner, lately. Here's how a typical evening will go:

England: split a Strongbow
France: finish Strongbow with one or two pastries, or one pastry and one savory item. Grab a wine on the way out.
Morocco: lately I've been getting the Tangierine cocktail, which is strong even for *me*, and I like alcohol - on Monday I noticed they put in four shots of alcohol
Japan: sometimes we pick up a Japanese candy
Italy: wine for me
Germany: split a bratwurst
Norway: pastry to split, last time we had the new meal there: leek and Jarlsberg soup, open face sandwich, sugar free mousse - *fantastic*

FH usually gets a couple diet Cokes in there as well. Yes, I did skip a lot of countries, but that's because we go so often that we just choose our favorites. This ends up costing $50-60 for the two of us, of course depending mostly on alcohol. We'll add or subtract here or there, but this is what we usually do.

Edit: oh yes, forgot Germany!

It's been awhile, but here is what we did.

Grabbed a taco in Mexico, egg roll in China, split a teriyaki stick in Japan, a bratwurst (from a cart) in Germany, got a pastry in France, split Fish n' Chips in England.

We also like going into the stores and picking up snacks from each country like chips or candy for later.

If you have time, look at the menus on allearsnet.com. See what looks good to you and add it up. It would help you out if you had a map, so you can see what order the countries are in (if you don't already know). If you are a member of Tour Guide Mike, he even has pages that list what's on the snack carts.

We do:

nachos in Mexico
kringla in Norway
egg roll in China
pretzel in Germany
Tiramisu & gelato in Italy
turkey leg & funnel cake in America
usually nothing in Japan (we go shopping here!)
baklava in Morroco
creme brulee in France
nothing in England (not big on fish and chips, not big on beer sampler)
nothing in Canada (we eat at Le Cellier every time, so no snacks here)

I want to do this on my next trip, there will be 3 of us, so we'll share things. Just have to look at the menus to see what to get in each country.

if you mean not at food and wine we did it for about $30, all cs, hubby an i split all of the following, took us most of the day..egg rolls at china, churro and something to drink at mexico cantina, turkey leg in us, brat and saukraut at sommerset, ( also very good huge pieces of $$$$$$$ candy in a shop there)fish and chips & shortbread ( another dessert) at england, 3rd dessert & coffee at france bakery, 4th dessert at norway ( didn't care for the school bread due to i think cardamum in it so it didn't really "count" as dessert), candy in italy( ok a dessert too but there were veggies in the egg rolls!) kids teriyaki combo at Japan ( blech did not eat the veggies there) we ate at tangerine cafe another day so skipped morroco and lecellier so we skipped canada. this was great fun!!
