Eating on Disney transportation

Think of it this way.....sure, a banana isn't truly messy. But, if a piece breaks off, it's now smooshed all over the floor. Then, someone spills a bit of their soda. Next, a few Cheerios. So, within an hour or so, you've got a fair amount of food product on the floor, and perhaps seats. That's like a buffet for bugs in central Florida. Each driver is responsible for the condition of their bus...so, that driver is going to have to go and clean the bus.
I have seen people told to put their coffee away until they are off the bus. I've also seen a family told that they can't board the bus if they are eating their breakfast still! They were not amused. They argued that they had the food in 'boxes' so it wouldn't be a mess and they wanted to just head for the rides when they got to MK and not stop to eat! Nope, the driver didn't much care. They had to wait for the next bus. They were not happy.

I've seen people told to finish their food before being allowed onto a bus too. Even one guy who had a coffee cup with no lid. He wasn't happy, but I don't think he was thinking either.
