Eating in Downtown Disney CHEAP!

We love Wolfgang Puck's Express (not so much the more expensive cafe though). The food there is quite good and the portions are often large enough to share, so keep that in mind when ordering. We ordered way too much food the last time we were there.

I haven't had it in a while, but the breakfast pizza was really good at breakfast time.

Mind though, while you can eat inexpensively at DTD, it's hard to walk around there without spending money on shopping. :confused3

One more vote for the Earl of Sandwich as a great inexpensive place to eat at DD. Wolfgang Puck Express is also a good value we think. We'll order two meals and split them among the three of us and still have plenty of food. I have to get something with the mashed potatoes - they are absolutely wonderful.

Earl of Sandwich! Aother vote for this place. It is very reasonably priced, dare I say cheap and the food is GOOD! I'd go there even if the food cost more.

Earl of Sandwich, DisneyQuest Express AND ... Hess. :) Sometimes Hess has a pizza for like $6.00 (not sure if that is all the time, I only see it advertised some).

Earl of Sandwich is the best!!! We eat there about once every 2 weeks or so. They have raised their prices tho - I think $5.75 for a sandwich now. Still cheap!

They also have EXCELLENT breakfast sandwiches! They are half the size of a regular sandwich - just the right size for beakfast. The b-fast sandwiches are $2.50, I think.

When we go for b-fast, we get 2 sands, my BF gets a soup, and we split a drink (refillable!) for like $8.

At Earl, they have potatoes in the evening too. They went up in price a number of months ago, I think they are like $1.55 now. But still a bargain compared to a lot of other places for something to eat!

and for dessert go to ghirardelli

Drat maybe it's just me but I can't get this to work???? I have a co-worker how has an entertainment book and has registered on line and I"m trying to use her email and password to get in but it keeps saying it's invalid...maybe this isn't good thruout the whole usa???

Cheapest ice cream deal going is McDonald's at DTD. I know it's not Ghirardelli's, but my kids could care less. For less than $5 I can get them three ice cream cones.

just sign up a new account, it's free... I use it all the time for local coupons as well, there is a monthly limit on the premium coupons

I also do Mypoints and save for certificates to Rainforest Cafe.. I also joined the RFC club for $15 for lifetime and get 10% off bill not incl alcohol or a free appetizer I think it is.. plus they send you certificates from time to time..

I do mypoints for the RFC gift certs also. Where did you sign up for the club. Can you do it online or is it only in person?

Sounds like you don't have a car to get around with, if you did you could go to Friday, Uno's, Chili's and you gotta love Ci' Ci's Pizza, that a deal!

I'll assume you have no car,and are 'stuck' on property
dtd- Dh loves earl of sandwwich-the kids and I  wolfgang puck express, and don't forget to try the express restaurant on the west side, they have a different selection at good prices- I can split 2 meals and between myself and 2 kids usually-or get soup for like $4-
Hotels have some cheaper options- downstairs at the polynesian, they have a large, inexpensive selection of foods-
Epcot center-Sunshine food fair has huge selections of cs choices, cheap, and some of the kid meals are big enough for my meal! i.e.,one counter sells baked chicken- kids meal is like 3.99,comes w/drink,applesauce,chicken leg, mashed potatos and cooked veg.!
or some of the "quick" places in the countries area- like the cs at Morocco,or Norway,or Mexico, mmmm! My kids love to split the nachos at the outdoor Mexico place, like 7.95- they're HUGE,it's a full dinner for both of them!
Check out Columbia harbor house at MK, lots of low cost, mmmm choices-family size chicken salad is $7-
the thing is, most menus don't tell you how big something is, if you like a cs menu, ask the cashier how big an item is,and if you need more, you can always order more,or get a snack later-
our family of 4 rarely spends more than $50 a day on lunch, dinner and snacks, and there are lots of choices, depending on where you stop!
We liked Pinnochios village house - small pizzas,salads,soups,etc...
Go to allears.net,they have menus for everything-you can eat plenty of good food without going broke,I promise!
We don't do dining plan, but we do take the kids to one sit down character meal-that suits us all.

Not only are the sandwiches cheap, they are delicious. We got ours wrapped and took the family to McDonalds and everyone was happy. DTD is a place to get some good deals on food & snacks.

PS-one of the best deals on property IMHO, is the Boardwalk/Spoodles pizza window; Pizza is great and cheap. It was less than $18 for a large pie that fed us all and then some!!!

You can eat at Disney on a budget and be perfectly happy doing it!
