Eating at SS

We have our first trip to SS for Thanksgiving week. We are very excited to stay there, but have some questions about dining options. When we've previously stayed at our home resort, we typically were able to eat at the resturants there on short notice (no advance ADRs). In worst case, we would order room service.

How is dining at the Turf Club? Can you walk up and get a table (or make an ADR that day?) Can you get room service? Does the CS serve "dinner food"?

Thanks!

For room service, I think there is pizza delivery only. Artist's Palette has some dinner food, pretty tasty. :)

I don't know about same day ADR's at Turf Club, as we made ours in advance, although I was easily able to get the time and day I wanted 3 weeks before our trip. However, the service and food were wonderful. We don't have another SSR stay until next October, but we WILL be booking an ADR there again. They were just terrific, even with our grumpy 2-yr-old. :)

I never worry about dining at SSR. If we get in a pinch, DTD is a short walk away, and we either go over to Earl of Sandwich or have been able to get last minute ADR's at Raglan Road. There are tons of other restaurants there as well.

I was able to get a 5:30pm ADR at Turf Club the day before I ate during Free Dinning in September.

We have easily gotten ADRs last minute at Turf Club, and we LOVE to eat there.

One of the things I like about SSR is that they are next door to DTD. You do not need a ticket to go there for dinner (unlike Epcot), and a number of the restaurants over there are not on the Disney dinning plans and are not hard to get into at the last minute.

I know Thanksgiving Day is booked at Turf CLub or it was a few weeks ago.

Artitis Palette is one of the best places to eat ever. When my hubby and I stayed there (SSR) last June, we could not believe how good the breakfast and the lunches were. The servings were huge! We were on the DDP and at the end of the 6 days, we had 6 counter services left over because the servings are so huge!

The Turf Club was the best place of all of our sit down meals. We ate dinner at the Whispering Canyon Cafe...Concourse Steakhouse...Narcoossees(totally overrated)...and the Turf Club (twice). Hands down, the Turf Club was the best. If you look back thru my posts, I have photos of our meals there....they were DE-LISH....!!

Regarding those 6 counter services we still had on our last night there; we went back to AP at about 6pm. We bought a family of 4 their dinner...then hung out and found another couple and purchased their dinner. At midnight, you lose those credits....we loved spreading the magic!

have fun,
Esmerelda :)

Where are your other posts with your Turf Club photos? I would love to see those. THANKS.
