Eating at 2 signature restaurant on regular DP

With the SPD discounts coming out this week, I'm anticipating adding dining to our reservations. It would be DH's and my first time on the dining plan since it's usually more cost effective for us to pay OOP. With the discount it looks like the dining plan will cost about $35/day for each of us.

Here's my dilemma: we have reservations for both California Grill and Le Cellier. Since each would burn 2 credits, we'll obviously be paying OOP for one. I've looked at the CG menu and the appetizers actually appeal to me the most. Would it be possible to split the way we pay for each meal? So, for instance, could I use my DP credits at Le Cellier while we pay OOP for his meal and vice versa at CG? I wouldn't think it would be a problem to say "I'm using the dining plan, he's not" but I want to be sure. Is there a better way I could be splitting it to maximize use of my credits? Thanks in advance!

I ate at Le Cellier last year a total of 4 people. Before they put it my Deluxe Dinning the bill was $260.00. So you do the math.

In 2007 I didn't know anything about the dinning plan. So I took the basic 1 sit down and 1 counter. Since then I only do the deluxe plan.

Yes you can do what you describe. Just be sure they know which meal is DDP and which is OOP. That's actually a good way to go, because you can still get a dessert to share.

Enjoy!

Yes, you can use dining credits for one person while the other one's meal is OOP. Just let the server know in advance who will be using credits/paying OOP because at the end of the meal you will receive 2 bills, one for the dining plan and the other for the OOP items.

So if I use just one persons dining plan (2 credits) I can still use the 2 left the next day for dinner for both of us? ( Can we split his two left over or does he have to use both?) We are only staying 2 nights and I have reservations at Cal. Grill the first night. We were just going to do counter service the next day but if this is true we could actually do two sit down meals. Thanks
:)

I think I read that right...

If everyone is an adult, you have x number of credits total. So if you have four credits - use 2 on one person and pay OOP for the other at your signature meal then use one credit each for your meal the next day.

This is not quite the same if you have adult and child credits - the adults are for adults and the childs are for the children.

Yes. The next day you could either get two one-credit meals at any participating regular table service restaurant, or one two-credit meal and the other person pay OOP at a signature location.
