During each trip to Epcot, our family tries to eat something from every country as we make it around the world showcase. This has proven more difficult than expected. Our first mistake is to start in England, because it is impossible for our family to pass up fish and chips - with malt vinegar we are in love. We tried starting in Mexico last year with paletas, which was a nice start. We manage to behave ourselves in Canada and USA, and we can be nearly civilized in France, Germany and Italy, However, we always seem to run into trouble in Norway. We simply cannot get past the schoolbread and cloudberry creamhorns without doing major damage. I'm not asking for advice, because there is glory in the failure. It doesnt work to "share" because everyone is too greedy when we get down to ordering our favorites. So I guess we will revel in our continued misguided attempts. Soooo, anyone else try this? Have you succeeded, and if so, was it a good thing? :-)

I have no idea how anyone can do "Eat Around the World" in one day, even when sharing with a group.

I did my "EAtW" this year spread over the course of several days with a mix of TS, QS and snacks, and it was still difficult to stuff everything in. I'm with you, though, I love the fish & chips at the UK stand!

We took a day to drink around the world so our kids ate around the world. They chose a snack or piece of candy at each pavilion. My BIL said kids don't like Epcot. Our kids sure loved it.

We pick a day each trip and do this.....BUT....we're able to succeed because we're willing to share at most of the places. There are 3 of us, so for example, at Yorkshire we only get one full order and one extra piece of fish....so we each have a piece of fish and some chips.

This last trip (Nov/Dec) our biggest weakness was France's new ice cream shop.....oh heavens....we got two because we couldn't agree on one flavor, but we actually loved it so much (it's rich, smooth and decadent), and we had other flavors calling to us, so we did another two....so between the 3 of us we ate 4 ice creams.

In Morocco we always get the lamb combo and share.....but our trip next month is going to try Spice Road instead.

I know I couldn't eat a full meal at each country, but it's pretty easy to do if we share it 3 ways. We also make a game of it and get some serious exercise going by NOT doing them in order.....so when we start in UK for example, our next stop would be China, Norway or Mexico....then we'd hit something in the middle, like Germany Italy or America....then we go back to one of the far side that we missed and come back and hit France....then back for that last far away one before we criss cross doing Italy, Morroco, Japan and we almost always do Norway last because they have the best seating where we can lounge for quite a while, lol.

The girls like to throw a ride or two in (Test Track, Norway, Figment) so we keep moving a lot. My feet usually hurt a little more than my stomach by the end of the night.

It's fun and we love WS probably the most of any WDW....eating and talking to the CMs from other countries. And on other days we can get a full serving to ourself of our favorites.

I've never tried to 'eat around the world' as others have done, probably because I'm either crazy ravenous or have zero appetite at all. More often than not, I stick to my favorites, and never have tried the whole place. But I'm thinking about giving it a go over a few days in October during F&W, so we'll see how that idea goes!

I've never really attempted because I know the meals are way too big, and some of the countries just don't have that many options, not enough snacks, etc. Hence why I'm super pumped for Food & Wine time because all the booths have snacks and smaller portions that it works out better! Hahaha

We've only attempted the "picture with a hat" in each country. Even that we never fully accomplished.
