Eat Everywhere?

I KNOW, I DO THIS AT THE COST OF GIVING UP FAMILY TRADITIONS ON SOME TRIPS, WHAT A DISNEY LOW LIFE!:rotfl2:

I KNOW! RIGHT!

Well - DS and I are taking his Graduation Celebration in MAY....

This will be my first visit since 10-12 visits and his first EVER....that we are NOT eating at CRT!princess:

However I couldn't wrestle Teppan Edo away ....

So I had to get PH's just so I can try Le Cellier.

Is there a statute of limitations on trying restaurants to be in the "All Restaurants Club?"
For example...I had 'forgotten' but I had been to Les Chefs de France and Biergarten....but it was about 20+ years ago.... :rotfl:

Hugs,
Mary

I wouldn't say it's a mission, but we definately like to try new places everytime we go.

I dont think there should be a statue of limitations provided you remember the meal. Spread sheets are an excellent idea, perhaps we can all use this sheet and see what we have left on our "to dine list."popcorn:: I wonder who has eaten at the most Disney restaurants ( anywhere on property) the most times and covered the most items on menu? Also dont know whether or not to include downtown resorts restaurants and bonnet creek and eventually four seasons ,they are tech. on property.:confused3

I think I've eaten at the majority of restaurants, too. But then Disney will open up new places, and I'll usually have a "new to me" restaurant to try. Last month I was able to try Sanaa at the Animal Kingdom Lodge Villas and loved it.

I have usually skipped Nine Dragons because it's had a dubious reputation as mediocre for years. I skip Tutto Italia because I can't justify the price for the value. And I have no problem spending money on Victoria and Albert's.

Edit to add: I skip Rainforest Cafe, Planet Hollywood type places because I've been to them locally and don't see the need to eat there at Disney.

I think that is a great goal! I would like to do every TS on property, we do not eat a lot of CS. I am trying to do every resort on property. I only have to stay at the All Stars for value, CBR for mod, and the 3 monorail resorts for deluxe...and my goal will be reached!

I am also in the Ft Lauderdale area, but only go up about twice a years...:(

Let us know if you reach your goal!

I love this idea. We LOVE to try new places too, so we try a bunch of new ones, and usually go back to 2 or 3 favorites on our 11 day trips. New experiences are wonderful.

You know someone's good if their list includes Flagler's, Ariel's, and Seasons. (Mine includes only the last of those three.) And if you really want to be complete, don't forget the places at Shades of Green. Unfortunately, Evergreen's closed last year - it was alleged to have the best burger at all of WDW. (My first ever WDW meal was at the Garden Gallery at what was then The Disney Inn.)

I have an Access database that allows me to look up any meal I've ever had at WDW. (Yes, I have unusual recreation habits.) I can do sorts to see questions like "which restaurants have I not been to for along time?" or "What's the latest character meal I went to"? This database has 46 WDW sit-down restaurants, plus Mythos at IOA and Texas de Brazil on I-Drive. But my counter-service list would be far shorter.

Great topic!

I am like this too. I actually plan out where we are going to eat CS and TS before I even think of booking the trip.

I try to plan as many different restaurants as I can on each trip. I do have one repeat that we have to do for the kids each time. They LOVE CP. It is good but I would quickly replace it with something else but they can not give it up. :)

We aren't actively trying to eat at all of them (since we don't have kids, we don't much care for the character dining experiences), but we do try to eat at as many new places as we can shoehorn in every time we go. On our next trip, we'll be going to Flying Fish and Bluezoo for dinner, neither of which we've been to.

It's a good goal to have. There are so many places to eat in the parks that you're probably doing yourself a disservice if you don't try to sample something from everywhere.

Ohhh, you are old school! I love it!

cigar95 this database idea is awesome. I thought about trying to recount every trip I have ever had since I was a small child and enter into some sort of log, I gave up. Just when I thought I was OCD about Disney and eating and staying at every resort. Your data base could trump by obsession, I am jealous.:worship:

It was really recreational as much as anything - I had just learned how to use Access for work, I was trying to improve my skills, and I never throw anything away. So I took all my old receipts, and started designing an application and typing in data.

I'm sure that some of the tricks I used would make the professionals shake their heads, but hey, if I want to find out how much money I've spent at Boma in the last ten years, I can!

I suppose I could do the same thing with resort stays and car rentals, but there's less data to play with, and it just doesn't seem as appealing.

To get back on topic, where have I not eaten? Let's see off the top of my head . . .

Chefs de France (have an ADR next week!), Bistro de Paris, Yachtsman, ESPN Club, the three fancy places at the Floridian, the character meal at the Studios, Tusker House (also there next week), several places at Downtown Disney, and most of the places at Swan, Dolphin, and Shades of Green. Other than that, I think I have most of WDW covered. (Yes, I have the Sand Trap Bar & Grill, and the old All Star Cafe!)

Just ate at Artist Point, Paradiso 37 , and repeated Coral Reef. AP was awesome you have to sit with "dizzy izzy" he makes the expierence. Paradiso 37 had terrible service, so so food. Coral Reef was surprisingly good compared to what I remembered, service could be a tad faster. Cant wait for more

My mission was originally just to eat at all of the TS restaurants. I have 4 left but, honestly, I really don't want to waste a meal eating at any of them. Nothing on the menu interests me. Maybe it'll change one day but I kind of gave up on that mission.

That's interesting about trying all of the pool bars and CS places. I've tried many of the CS places and probably a lot more on the next trip as we're staying even longer and I'm over paying $50-150 for a mediocre meal at a TS place like we have the past two trips. I don't know what's happened to the dining but we only enjoyed 2 TS meals out of the last two trips.

Whoops, I actually have 6 more to try. Forgot about Kouzzina and Sanaa.

I want to eat everywhere too! I haven't eaten at many places so far, maybe about 20-25 out of all, but I hope to one day have this accomplishment. I hope to go to every single TS, and CS in WDW.

I would love to eat at all the TS and CS spots in the parks, but don't see it happening, especially with all the options in Epcot! Maybe I'll start with everything in MK. :)

Perhaps there is a local, that has eaten at every venue. Maybe Jack Spence from allears. Someone must have at least come close. I wonder what their opinions or favs are? I often think about work PT at disney when I retiree to help me meet my goals.

I'm local but I seem to have a long way to go LOL! We end up eating at favorites a lot and we have a lot of the pricier places left on our list.
