Tonight will be something on the way home from class since I have an exam and no idea how long I will be. Mom will have whatever she wants and I will get something on the drive back. What I get exactly totally depends on what time it is (class is 7-9:50, but I can leave once I am finished with the exam).

The three meals for this week...

Wednesday: French Onion Soup
Thursday: BLTs, Chips, and Fruit
Saturday: Chicken Parmesan, Spaghetti, and Garlic Bread

I finished December's meal list for the most part. I need one more soup recipe. Once I have it done, I'll post it!

I started using e-mealz.com a few months ago. It has helped keep me on track, given me new recipes, and saved my budget. We have plenty of leftovers so I may only pick 5 or 6 menus per week to cook. Plus we still like to go out every once in a while.

Hi Sandy,

I looked at the website. It looks like a great resource. Lots of options. I'm going to keep it in mind.

I have a ton of cook books and websites that I don't use nearly enough. I like the website you use, because it highlights what is on sale. I can see where it would save a lot.

Thanks for sharing!

You can do it!

I feel you about being unmotivated. It seems like ever since I got back from Disney in October I have been struggling. Add in school and I just don't care some days. Especially with the semester winding down and me going "Oh shoot! I only have a month to get that done!". When stress gets bad for me, I have to fight really hard not to just shut down.

Ok I am back after being away (for a funeral) in Oregon from 11/7 - 11/12 . I grocery shopped yessterday and we had BBQ pork in the crockpot on crusty rolls with cole slaw.
Tonight - Barber stuffed chicken - apple and brie, twice baked potatoes and carrots
Wed - Tilapia for me and leftover spaghetti for DH
Thur - Popcorn chicken tossed with panda express orange chicken sauce, egg rolls and white rice
Fri - appitizer date night
Sat - frozen pizza and mozzerella sticks

Last week was my first week of planning our weekly meals and it worked out pretty well. I came in a little under budget and avoided hitting the fast food places two nights that I normally would have since I had easy meals waiting to be prepared when I got home from work. We did switch our meals around since DH wasn't feeling well a few days but the meals were just swapped for different days.

This week has been tough to plan. DD was watching me trying to come up with the week plans and every time I wrote something "Ew, not chicken...can't I pick? How about mac and cheese every night"

Tonight-
stuffed shells, garlic bread

Wed
Trader Joe's Orange Mandarin Chicken, brown rice, brocolli

Thurs
Whole Wheat pasta with meat sauce

Friday
Crunchy Ranch chicken, garlic and olive oil pasta roni, broccoli

Sat
clean out fridge/leftovers- maybe chicken casear salads if I make it to the store again before Sat

Sun
Spicy chicken tenders/ french fries

Mon
breakfast for dinner- pancakes and sausage for DD, plus eggs for DH and just eggs and sausage for me, maybe some applesauce

Tues
Weight Watchers Weigh in day so I like to splurge
make your own pizza

Wed
hot dogs or burgers for DH and DD/ tomato soup and grilled cheese for me

Stuffed shells are just another type of pasta stuffed with ricotta and mozz, kind of like manicotti. The shells are the pasta and are shaped like a large shell. I never even though that people might not know what they were. Interesting.

It is the same to me as having lasagna but it is easier to figure out the serving sizes and calories for me with the shells since I am trying to lose weight.

thank you for your reply sounds like i am missing out i love pasta and we dont have them here grrr lol
xx

Thanks for posting this! I just signed up and it looks great! Most plans like this have meals that we won't eat, but these all seem really good. :cheer2:

Yesterday was Tuna Tetrazini and homemade bread. Today was my big shopping day. Plans for the week in no particular order are:
Salad (with chicken for the meat eaters) and homemade bread
Spaghetti (with meat sauce or without)
Stir fry (with or without chicken)
Biscuits and gravy and fried potato's (with sausage gravy or cream gravy)
Hot-dogs/shrimp rolls and veggies
Tomato soup and grilled cheese
Homemade pizza (pepperoni or veggie)
Bean burritos and Spanish rice
Mac and cheese w/toppings
hobo dinners

I've done really well the last 2 weeks trying to use up freezer and pantry stores...until this week. BUT 2 weeks ago I spent $25 less than usual at the grocery and last week $30! And it was mostly because I had to get stuff for my DH to eat while I was away for the weekends. This week though, too tired and unmotivated from working 25 days in a row I stopped for Arby's Monday and pizza yesterday. :guilty: Back on track again today although I have to go out of town AGAIN this weekend for work.

Tonight--stuffed meat loaf with roasted baby potatoes and corn on the cob
Tomorrow--BBQ wings and salad
Out of town F, S, S
Monday--either baked spaghetti or porkchops
Tues--whatever wasnt Monday
Wed--not sure
Thurs--guess! :goodvibes

I went Grocery shopping this morning and spent $37.00 for the week but with combining sales and coupons I saved $31.00. Not to bad.

For dinner tonight we had oven fried buttermilk chicken with roasted garlic mashed potatoes and ratatouille from the freezer.

Tonight I plan on making sugar cookies.
