Friday - Kids night! Usually pizza or frozen chicken nuggets, etc :)

Menu plan - week of March 18th

Monday - pulled pork wraps, coleslaw, baked beans
Tuesday - ravioli, peas, garlic bread
Wednesday- eggs, sausage, grits, fruit
Thursday - grilled chicken salad
Friday- Disney World!!! Woo Hoo!!! :)

Hey there everyone, I am bringing dessert to our family easter meal, any recs on what I can make without baking? I need to bring 2 and would prefer they have 8 to 10 servings. I usually do cake or cupcakes, but would rather avoid baking.

Thanks!!

or No bake chocolate chip cookie dough bars! http://therecipecritic.com/2013/09/chocolate-chip-cookie-dough-bars/

This has been birthday week at our house. FIL's birthday was last Sunday, Dh was yesterday, tomorrow is ds who will be turning 12, and Monday is dd's and she will be 19. Everyone is allowed to pick whatever they like best for birthday supper and I cook at home (or we would go broke from eating out 4 times in a week :scared:).

Sunday .. dinner at my inlaws, we had steak and various sides.

Monday was Pasta night

Tuesday was Lemon Pepper Sole, Sweet Potato wedges, salad

Wednesday was Dh's birthday and he chose Mongolian Beef and Broccoli over brown rice, and Angel food cake with whipped cream and berry compote

Tonight was breakfast for dinner, eggs, pineapple, toast.

Friday...ds's birthday dinner. He has chosen garlic rolls, oven baked "fried" chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, wontons, and vanilla birthday cake with vanilla buttercream frosting. I will be adding a salad and broccoli for those of us who aren't 12, and prefer some vitamins in our food.

Saturday.. Early easter dinner at SIL's. Not sure of the menu

Sunday.. DD's birthday dinner (celebrating a day early because she goes back to campus Monday) and she hasn't picked her menu yet except for the dessert which is this frozen dessert pizza. http://www.oprah.com/food/Beat-the-Heat-Frozen-Dessert-Pizza-Recipe

I would do a spring trifle, tiramisu (my favorite dessert:)), and/or chocolate truffles...All super easy and no bake and super-impressive:)...

You could also do ice cream sandwiches, getting cookies from a grocery bakery, vanilla ice cream, and toppings to roll in. Semi-homemade and very delicious:)...

Just found this thread- what a great idea! I plan all our meals for a week and then grocery shop. Sat. nights we go to church and then out to eat, but I cook all other nights. I just planned next week's meals.
S- southern "fried" chicken with green beans and biscuits
M- Philly cheesesteak sandwiches w/fruit
T- baked bowties pasta
W-chicken enchiladas
Th- jambalaya
F- shrimp tacos

Weekly recap:

Chickenwings & Fries /side salad ✔️
Fish tacos with cole slaw & full toppings ✔️
Pork chops, potato gratin, broccoli ✔️
Red beans & Rice, zucchini noodles, artisan bread ✔️ (+ leftovers another night)
Veggie lasagne & caesar salad/ garlic bread - made corned beef hash and fried eggs for St. Patrick's day
Meatloaf, baked potato, peas, caramelized onions. ✔️
Chicken pot pie - made a homemade pizza

This week's plan. Again in no specific order yet,

Veggie lasagne & caesar salad/ garlic bread
Roast chicken and veggies
Chicken pot pie
Italian sausage & risotto
Bacon & eggs /fried potatoes.
Chili.

Sun - Corned Beef, Mashed Potato, Roasted Balsamic Carrots, Strawberries
Mon - Cheese Canneloni, Green Salad, More Roasted Balsamic Carrots (Saturday potluck canceled, so I have 4lbs to use)
Tues - Chicken Soft Tacos, Red Grapes
Wed - Indian Butter Chicken (with any leftover greens or roasted carrots mixed in), Rice, Roasted Yellow Squash
Thurs - Cheeseburgers with Lettuce, Tomato, and Onion, Cucumber Salad, Blueberries
Fri - Veggie Fried Rice (if I have lots of leftover rice Wed) OR Cheese Pizza with Smoothies and leftover veg (salad, carrot, squash)
Sat - Afternoon Family Easter Egg Hunt and Date Night to a Play (gonna fit in a takeout dinner of the family's choice - probably use a Groupon to a quick casual Indo-Chinese place that expires mid-April)

Easter plans are still totally uncertain...not sure if we'll do our risotto tradition or our duck tradition or both or create a totally new one. We never go to Sunday Mass (always the Vigil) but have to this year b/c we have choir members, so that's messing with my thoughts:)...

I have GOT to stick to my meal plans! We have been eating out way too much and my waistline and pocket book don't feel too good for it! :crazy2:
Spring Break here for the kiddo, so I need to make sure we eat lunch at home too. Lunches will be leftovers.

Tonight is our Walking Dead Weekly Watch Party (say that 5x fast!) We're smoking chicken breasts and wings, pesto pasta salad, and roasted zucchini. Lemon bundt cake for dessert (bought from Sam's)
Mon: White Chicken Enchilada casserole in a slow cooker (hopefully with leftover chicken from Sunday)
Tues: Mac and Cheese Pizza bake with bread sticks and salad
Wed: Not sure yet...
Thurs: Leftover Mac and Cheese Pizza bake
Fri: Debating taking a mini road trip with kiddo. Will eat dinner at Cheesecake Factory as our town doesn't have one and he is sooo intrigued by this place, lol!
Sat: Likely something fast on the road. If at home kiddos choice :)
Sun: Dinner at Dad's. No clue what Step mom will be making. I'll probably just bring a dessert.

Sunday: Sausage, Kale, and Potato Soup
Monday: Sloppy Joes
Tuesday: Skillet Chicken with Creamy Cilantro Lime sauce and asparagus
Wednesday: Caesar Pasta Salad with grilled chicken
Thursday: Bulgogi with Rice
Friday: Pizza (take out)
Saturday: Breakfast for dinner

I am proud to say that we did pretty well the last 2 weeks, stuck to the plan about 90% of the time, only had to switch a couple of nights because of DH's work schedule :)

I have a menu for this week...but my Uncle-in-law had a heart attack and passed away suddenly last night, so things are sort of up in the air until we hear about the funeral plans.

So, with the proviso that there may be changes...

Tonight- grilled cheese sandwiches, veggies and dip, lipton sidekicks

Tues-spaghetti and meatballs, not sure of veg

Saturday: At ski hill- either pizza or possibly breakfast for dinner (we had pulled pork sandwiches, salad)
Sunday:Something easy after skiing- hmm- I think I have a turkey casserole in the freezer still (we had stew at the outlaws when we picked up our dog

This Weeks Plan:

DD is visiting with her bio mom for the next 2 weeks ( :( ) so our cooking will def be more slack...

Monday- DH will be at work before I get home- he will take a frozen dinner and I will prob have soup/sand etc (I had soup)

 That has to be one of the best statements!! LOL!

So, hit some real financial trouble recently and April is going to be super duper tight. Like, money comes in, money goes out tight. I need to get my grocery budget (which includes personal items, OTC meds, and household needs) to $100 every 2 weeks. Yeah, it's not going to be an easy task, but I think I can do it as long as I make my plan, make my list, and stick to it. Hopefully May will be a bit better and then back to normal come June so I only have to "survive" this one month.

I'm working off of what is on sale at Market District and Aldi plus what I already had in my freezer.

Tuesday: Pot Roast (chuck roast is on sale $4.99/lb and one roast lasts me 4-5 meals), carrots, potatoes, and rolls (from freezer to stretch even more)
Wednesday: Leftovers
Thursday: Hot dogs (from freezer), corn and black bean relish, and pasta salad (pasta salad will be my lunch for a few days)
Friday: Turkey (from freezer), stuffing, vegetable, and gravy
Saturday: Leftovers
Sunday: Easter at my Aunt and Uncles (yay free meal)

Monday: Pancakes (I have everything I need for these) and bacon (or sausage depending on prices)
Tuesday: Leftovers
Wednesday: Maybe more leftover pancakes or eggs and hashbrowns
Thursday: Pan fried fish (freezer) and cauliflower (on sale)
Friday: Steak (from freezer), baked potato, and roasted squash
Saturday: Steak hash (using leftover steak and potato) and eggs

Monday: Copy Cat Longhorn's Parmesan Crusted Chicken, Asparagus and rice
Tuesday: Taco Tuesday- Beef soft tacos with leftover rice, peppers and onions
Wednesday: I'm having surgery this day. DF will make himself Hamburger Helper w/ ground turkey and Corn.
Thursday: Cincinnati Style 3 Ways with extra cheese.
Friday: I'm drawing a blank at what I actually had planned for this night.
Saturday: early Easter dinner with one side of the family.
Sunday: Easter Brunch- We are taking a fruit salad. Dfi works Easter night- so maybe grilled cheese and soup when he gets home.
