So last night we ate out umm er but it was last minute had over night guests so I didn't have enough food to serve what I had planned

But tonight we had Bowie pasta with sausage and sauce with salad. Very good.

Tonight is going to be BLTs, Baked Beans, and Fruit as we will most likely go out to lunch.

Tomorrow is our Summer Thanksgiving!

Last night my mother in law took the kids so DH and I decided to have date night. We wen to Chili's and got the 2 for $20 so we didn't do too bad.

Roast is already in the crock pot for roast beef po-boys tonight! Yummy!

Last night we had hot dog and baked beans. Today we are going to SIL's IL's house for swimming and a BBQ. We are taking hamburgers and buns and chips.

I love the Balsamic pulled pork and we make it often. My favorite side dish with it is this Creamy Polenta http://www.simplyrecipes.com/recipes/creamy_polenta/ . I have to add a pretty good amount of salt to it, but they are really good! We usually have lima beans with that as well but have also had it with sweet potatoes and broccoli and it was also really good. :)

Isn't the balsamic pork yummy? I never thought to make polenta with it, I love polenta! I may have to work that into my menu next week!

I would have to say something with sweet potatoes. Either cut them up and roast them or just bake them. They go great with pork AND balsamic.

Thanks for the help! I did go with sweet potatoes, I made a casserole:thumbsup2

We got take out from CPK last week and went to a friends house for dinner one night so my menu got pushed back a couple of days. Here's my menu for the week.

Sunday - Toy Story movie night - Sloppy Joes, mac and cheese, corn
Monday - Grilled honey garlic pork chops, au gratin potatoes, green beans
Tuesday - Mini chicken pot pies, salad
Wednesday - grilled sausage and peppers sandwich, potato salad
Thursday - Roasted turkey breast, mash potatoes, stuffing and corn(a mini thanksgiving)
Friday - Ribs, coleslaw, pasta salad
Saturday - Date night, pizza take out for kids, somewhere nice for dh and I:goodvibes

I got out of work later than expected yesterday and was feeling pretty blah, so DBF and I went out to eat last night (fast food, which hurt the pocket AND the tummy, :crazy2:), so tonight is the aforementioned pasta night; tri-color rotini w/ garlic bread and broccoli.

But I made up for that by getting this week's menu sorted out and did the grocery shopping for it. The day we eat the meal is not set in stone, in case tastes differ, just that we will have it at some point in the next week.

Sunday - Chicken with Philadelphia lemon & herb cooking creme, grilled potatoes and peas/broccoli
Monday - Orange chicken w/ fried rice and potstickers
Tuesday - Chicken fettuccine alfredo w/ garlic toast and broccoli/peas (whatever wasn't used on Sunday, lol)
Wednesday - My birthday, so probably dinner out! :)
Thursday - Taco night
Friday - Cheddar jack & bacon chicken w/ corn and grilled potatoes
Saturday - Pizza night

Happy early birthday!! :cheer2:

Thank you very much!! :D Though I just realized my bday is Wednesday, not Tuesday, haha! I've been so confuzzled lately and off routine, forgetting my own birthday, sheesh! Lol

We've done very well sticking to our budget menu this past week! Only 5 more days until pay day!!!

Sunday: Lake Erie perch and fries

Monday: Chili in the crockpot

Tuesday: Crockpot roast beef and noodles. I'm adding mashed potatoes and gravy to go with it because DSS's will be with us for the night.

Wednesday: Chicken bacon wraps and pasta salad

Thursday: Payday!!!! Out to eat

Friday: Thinking sloppy joes with ???

Saturday: DD and I have a bday party to go to in the afternoon, DH has to go into work in the evening so I'm thinking maybe just pizza or Chinese in.

Tonight it's leftover roast beef (last night it was roast beef po boys) with mashed potatoes and roasted carrots.

Well, i havent been doing great with meal planning, but I have been doing great with cooking and eating at home! I started a diet 2weeks ago, and eating out is even less fun on a diet. I cant stand paying big bucks for something I could make easily, and taste better, at home. We did eat out both Saturday nights in the last two weeks...once because we were out of town, and last night for a fundraiser for the band.

Tonight is salisbury steak and mashed potatoes, skinny version.
Lunch was philly cheesesteak sandwiches, broccoli and cauliflower salad.
Friday night and Sat noon were homemade pizza
Thurs was steak and baked potatoes

We are in a burn ban, so all grilling is now done on my grill pan in the house. Not ideal, but its ok.

Tomorrow I'm having the Tuba section of the marching band over for lunch. Mexican feast. Leftovers will be recreated into dinner.

Tuesday is my Birthday, but we have a mandatory band meeting. So something quick before the 6:30 meeting. Probably taco salad or quesadillas.

I am also ready to make...
Cajun chicken pasta
Grilled chicken sandwiches
Chef salad

We are knee deep in marching band here too!! :yay: I was very proud of myself yesterday. I am feeling under the weather, and planned to go to Outback for potato soup last night. Of course my family would want steak, and we'd spend easily $50. I made a huge pot of potato soup for about $2 and it was soooo good!

Tonight I threw a Mexican soup into the crockpot. Yum! All this week the parents are feeding the band camp kids dinner since they are there from 8:30-8:30. We will be there helping to serve each night. There is always enough left for the parents to have a plate as we are cleaning up. Monday night is also a mandatory meeting, Friday preview night and that will be potluck. I am thinking of taking mini cashew chicken salad sandwiches on Hawaiian sweet rolls.

Now with marching band season, school and work...we won't have time to eat out so I better get on track with weekly meal planning again! I love the accountability this thread provides!

Tonight we are having some goodies we picked up from Earthfare. Mom got a blu cheese burger with a cous cous salad, and I got a homemade bratwurst with potato salad.

Tonight was Polish sausage, mac and cheese and greens. Tomorrow is pasta with pesto, seared padrone peppers, and italian sausage. That totally needs another vegetable. Weds we have a lamb steak, crispy smashed roast potatoes, and asparagus. Thursday is leftovers/fend for yourself. Friday lamb chops and sides TBD. Saturday we'll have fish (or I might swap Wed's lamb to Saturday and have fish on Weds...

I'm pretty lousy at following plans like this, so all I really know is that I have italian sausage thawed, a giant pile of padrone peppers, some asparagus and a few itsy russet potatoes. The rest is in the freezer or still at the store, and we'll get to it eventually.
