Last night we did go out but it was craft night and kids eat free at Chick-fil-a. I am counting it more as entertainment because of the crafts. :)

Tonight is meet and greet at school so we are going to eat left over re!d beans and sandwiches. Easy and quick with no clean up for mom! :thumbsup2

Tonight is going to be hamburgers, tomato and cucumber salad, and watermelon. We bought some local beef at the Farmer's Market this past weekend and are excited to try it!

Kalbi ribs are one of my absolute favorite foods! What sauce do you use when you make them at home?

Tonight was Chicken Meatballs, Bell Pepper, Onion, and Pineapple Teriyaki Skewers with Rice. They were very good!

I'm marinating the ribs in a mixture of soy sauce, garlic, ginger, green onion, brown sugar, sesame oil, sherry, and red pepper flakes. I probably should have added sesame seeds and asian pear, but I didn't have any. I've never actually made these before, but I make bulgogi all the time and they seem pretty similar. I know people sometimes serve these in lettuce wraps with a sauce made from korean red pepper paste and bean paste, but I don't have those.

Of course, it's currently 49 degrees outside and pouring rain, so I'll be bbqing under an umbrella. (I'm at least trying to have some summer! :) )

Tonight is... well, I have no idea because I will be at my friend's house helping out with the baby!

Tonight is going to be pasta night (lazy me, lol); tri-color rotini with garlic bread and probably broccoli on the side.

Hoping to eat out only once in the coming week, and I count grabbing a pizza as 'eating out' lol. DBF and I are trying very hard to severely cut back just about everywhere we can, both to save for Christmas and our trip next year. We both work retail so it's going to get slow pretty soon, gotta pinch pennies from now to get a hearty savings going. :)

last night was grilled pork chops (heavy on the garlic and rosemary a repeat request from last week) and I made a simple version of dirty rice- I made white rice- then in a saute pan fried up some chorizo out of casing with onion added some tomatoes and peppers from the garden- threw in the white rice- a squeeze of tomato paste. mmmm I could have eaten the whole pan myself. I am going to add shrimp to it next time to make a one pot dish.

oh and tonight my dh is driving my son and his friend to the Coldplay concert. (Silly nj red sticker prevents the teens from being able to drive themselves! ARGH) but they'll have subs that I just bought - easier than making imho. And the rest of us will have pizza or chicken pot pie- both of which are already made. (by someone else)

Last night we ended up with pizza. Tonight was pork chops with baked sweet potatoes with fruit.
