I follow Plain Chicken's blog too. I don't know how she eats that much cheese :rotfl: but I like the simplicity of her meals.

Sunday: Pulled Pork in the slow cooker
Monday: Brown Sugar Salmon
Tuesday: Tacos
Wednesday: Chicken Casserole Lightened up http://eatathomecooks.com/2012/08/chicken-casserole-lightened-up.html
Thursday: Leftovers
Friday: Chicken Taco Stacks (I'll edit this recipe because I don't like all the ingredients)
http://bevcooks.com/2013/04/chicken-taco-stacks/
Saturday: Take Out because it will be two weeks since we ate out :cheer2:

Our dinner plans got a little muddled this week. We had rotisserie chicken on Wed night, yesterday DH and I had a late lunch at a new restaurant and had no appetite later. I had a calzone for dinner...he had a bowl of ice cream. :rotfl2: His calzone is still in the fridge.

Anyway we're still a little off track.

Tonight we are having chicken spaghettini alfredo with salad and tomorrow we are going out of town so we'll be eating on the road. That means Sunday will be shepherd's pie and then...

Monday-pizza
Tuesday-tortieres
Wednesday-hamburger helper

That brings us to Thursday which is my shopping day so I haven't planned passed then. On Wed I'll take inventory and go from there! :scratchin

My boss is awesome and dropped off homemade chicken soup with rolls and salad for us for dinner. She had the day off and wanted to help out.

The whole family together tonight!!! First time since DSS17 got his job! We had crockpot pulled chicken with baked seasoned fries.

I also made tomorrows dinner because we have quite a hectic Saturday. We're having lasagna, salad and garlic bread.

I've been sick all week so meals have been sporadic. I did do pizza one night (Papa Johns does 50% off orders when our local baseball team scores 7 runs or more) but other than that been pulling from my freezer.
Tonight will be crockpot red beans & rice using leftover ham from earlier this week. Cheap hearty meal that makes great leftovers.

I did kind of a made up version of chicken & mushroom alfredo tonight, it was really good actually. We had broccoli with it.

I went into work for a bit this morning which felt good. Tonight we are having steak tacos with salad.

Glad everyone is on the mend! I worked and had school today. It is beautiful out so my DH made some chicken marinated in Mojo and some baked potatoes. Tomorrow may be brats on the grill. It's supposed to be 80 degrees.

Hey all. Things are still all messed up here. Mom is still in the hospital and will be for another couple of days at least. At that time she will be moved to a Skilled Nursing Facility for 2 weeks to see if they can get her home on hospice. Once those 2 weeks are over, we will reevaluate her and see if home hospice is possible or if she has to stay somewhere.

So, a lot going on there and on top of it all, I graduate in less then 2 weeks. :scared1: :faint:. I am excited and terrified at the same time. Due to mom's illness I have not been able to really apply for many jobs since I don't know when I will be able to move (I want to move to be closer to family).

This week meal wise we have:

Yesterday: Pan Fried Ribeye, half a baked potato, and a salad

Today: BLT and fruit (I have class until 7)

Wednesday: Steak hash and eggs

Thursday: Vegetable Fried Rice

Friday:Honey Mustard Salmon with Roasted Asparagus and a grain (not sure if Quinoa, couscous, or rice pilaf yet)

Saturday: Soba Noodles with Stir Fried Vegetables

Sunday: Skinny Chicken Cordon Bleu with Crash Hot Potatoes and Steamed Broccoli

I haven't been on in awhile.

I made a double batch of chili and corn bread yesterday. We're having leftovers tonight.

Dinner tonight was supposed to be fried potatoes and smoked sausage...

BUT, I have been doing some MAJOR clean up in my office at work today. Our department is being split between two other departments. I am an admin assistant who inhabits an office that has been used for the department admin assistant for at LEAST 15 years. I am tasked with the job of completely clearing out that office. I have been sorting files that have to be split between the two new departments. I am going to a new office in a different building in two weeks...OY. I have been lifting and sorting and transporting massive stacks of files all day. I am HOT and EXHAUSTED! :faint:

All that to say I am NOT standing over a hot stove chopping and frying potatoes, sausage and onions when I get home tonight! :rolleyes1 I am making DH grill the smoked sausage and I will do something different with the potatoes. I would bake, but last night's dinner was stuffed baked potatoes. Anywho...I also have garden peas in the crock pot good to go already. Now to think of another easy method of cooking the potatoes...:confused3

I had to go home this weekend and just got back so I'm a little late with the menu planning.

We'll have smushed sammy's for lunch this week. I get a giant loaf of French or Italian bread, make and then cut to portion for the week.

Dinner tonight - broiled steak, loaded mash potatoes and Mac and cheese

Thursday - I'll be working late so red beans and rice in the crockpot

Friday - Mexican out with friends

Saturday - chicken cordon blue

Tonight: Tortieres, mashed potatoes, salad, PB&J's for the kids
Thurs: Butter chicken in the crockpot, salad
Fri: leftovers
Sat: enchiladas
Sun:burgers and fries
Mon: pizza
Tues:wonton soup and grilled cheese sammies
Wed:burritos

Made the tortieres this morning and froze 3/4 of the batch... also made italian meatballs and 2 loaves of bread and froze them. Then I scoured the kitchen. Glad tomorrow is a crock recipe because I've had enough of that particular room and need a couple of days off. :thumbsup2

Today: crockpot potroast w/ potatoes, carrots, and pearl onions
Thursday: baked halibut, rice pilaf, green beans
Friday: rice and kung pao shrimp
Saturday: Scotch broth and homemade rolls
Sunday: rice, veggies, Korean bbq pork
Monday: fish chowder and salad
Tuesday: leftovers

Cleaning the freezer OUT for our move! I have realized, though, that it's not worth having fish more than twice a week. I will either give it to friends here or ship it out (at over $20/pound at the store, I think it would be worth it. I love our non-commercial halibut.)

I am a little behind this week.

Saturday - We were at a wedding so ate there
Sunday - Steak, potatoes, green beans
Monday - Pasta, salad, zuchinni chips
Tuesday - frozen pizza, salad
