Eat and Play card/Kids eat free card

Hello there, Im sooooo excited as we finally booked our trip to 'The Mouse' in June and I have a question regarding the above mentioned cards.

We have a DS who is three and we really dont know whether it is worth getting the kids eat free card or just getting the Eat and play card as it gives us discounts in some outlets too.

Does anyone have any experence on which restaurants (if any) offer a kids under a certain age eat free anyway ( without the card)as my son eats only a little and normally eats non kiddy items ( he doesnt like chips) and I see that most of the childrens selections are chicken strips and chips for example. He prefers salad, or pasta or jacket potatoes.

I guess my other question would be are restaurants normally ok to swap items ( ie chips) for pasta.

We had a kids eat free card when DD was 3 but didn't really use it.

A lot of the restaurants on the card do better coupons and you can't use a coupon and the card. eg tony romas you can get a BOBOF coupon for email sign up - so a $15/20 adult meal free. A lot better deal than a free kids meal.

Village inn give kids eat free without the card they told me.

Mannys steakhouse has kids eat free on a tues, lonestar steakhouse also does on a tuesday.

Rainforest cafe has a reward chart on the website for a kids meal for $1.

You may be better just sharing with him - ask for a separate plate - no one bats an eye. Or order him a 'side' eg a baked spud. I also take sncks like crackers, raisins to the parks as my DD prefers to eat little and often.
