Does anyone know why the third week of February 2015 is all 8's and 9's when the highest any other weekday during that month is a 5? Now I know that Monday is Presidents Day, but the third Monday in January is MLK Day and the rest of that week is all 3's. Is there something else going on other than that week beginning with a holiday? Thanks.

My guess is the Princess half marathon weekend.
Thats about the same time as it was last year.

President's Day plus Mardi Gras. Alot of southern schools close for Mardi Gras week.

MLK Day is a single day. President's Day becomes "President's Week" for much of the Northeast. When schools in cold climates are closed for a week, it is a very good bet that many people will be heading for warmer weather! Add in Mardi Gras and you have a week that is best avoided if one does not like crowds.

Many east coasters are out the entire week of President's Day and the princess half marathon is the following Sunday. We were here this exact week in 2014 and I won't go back during that time again. Obviously not Christmas or Easter crowded, but too crowded for me.

Princess Half Marathon Weekend (there were roughly 30,000 runners + their families/friends last year)
Mardi Gras
Mid-Winter Break for some schools (I know the schools in the Pacific Northwest get mid-winter break)
