So I've read a lot of references on here to easywdw.com so yesterday I went over to check it out.
I read 5-6 full posts and I have to say that I get the vibe that the blogger is mega bitter toward WDW.
I suppose it's possible that I'm reading that into the posts, but it sure seems like the blogger is awfully snarky about the place that they are choosing to write about.
I just don't get it. Why would you blog about WDW if you're over it?

I think for him Disney World is just that much a part of his life, so he's a realist about it all. He also has a sarcastic sense of humor. I find his website very helpful because of his realism. He seems to cut through all the WDW stereotypes of bliss and perfect weather to show that there are lots of rainy days and crowds involved too and if you don't plan for/around those things, it can be quite miserable.

I don't think he is bitter, I think he is realistic. I find his posts to be very fair and accurate. I can understand how a once a year or so visitors would gloss over the details, and not want anything to burst the "magic bubble" but his information is very helpful for locals and those who take multiple trips a year.

I, for one, appreciate candid reporting.

I absolutely love that site. I don't see him as bitter. I do think he has a sarcastic sense of humor, which I find really funny.

fwiw, I find Josh to be pretty funny. He can be snarky about guests' senses of entitlements, but there's no doubt in my mind that he loves the place (in a manly way) and wants his readers to have the best time possible during their visits by planning intelligently.

I love Josh's site! His wit and sarcasm make it a good read....not to mention, invaluable information!:thumbsup2

Yep, I agree with all the PPs. Josh is realistic and wants his readers to plan accordingly to have the best possible experience.

I've never picked up on any bitterness. I guess he's not exactly bursting with pixie dust, but I prefer a more realistic point of view.

Snarky-yes. Bitter-no. He gives great information and others poster have said-it's realistic.

He must really like WDW-he puts in all that work and doesn't charge for his website. And he eats those god-awful salads to review. I haven't seen one, yet, that doesn't make me want to :crazy2:

I love his site and appreciate his sense of humor:thumbsup2

I don't think he's bitter at all. I simply don't think he's buys into the "Disney is 100% right all the time" mentality and he's not afraid to call them on their "misses". Which definitely never happens here.

I use this site for information, I use other sites for balanced reviews.

I agree with all the PPs, Josh is definitely sarcastic and a realist. I don't find him bitter at all either. And I love his stie. I think he tells it like it is. :thumbsup2

Just to echo everyone else's opinions, I also think he is just a little more grounded and realistic than most Disney bloggers. I think he fills a real niche for those of us who want WDW strategy and advice, but also appreciate a sense of humor about the absurdity of it all. Don't get me wrong, I love Disney and trip planning, but we Disney planners live in our own unique world. ;)

I love his site! I find the different spin on things very enjoyable and interesting. His information has really helped us plan our trip and I hope he keeps it up!

All pp's are 100% accurate. Josh's snarkiness, which he mentions several times in his posts, is refeshing and candid. His site is by far one of the most trustworthy and an enjoyable read in between trips to stay up to date.:cool1:

Count me in as another fan of Josh's site!

I bought a copy of the latest Unofficial Guide before each our first three trips. But the last time we travelled, I realized I hadn't cracked my new UG book open at all. Instead I was looking at Josh's crowd calendars and using the advice he'd given on his blog to piece together my own touring plans.

So I'll be saving my money this year, and simply using Josh's site. I love his sense of humour and his common sense approach to visiting the parks.

I LOVE his site! I crack up laughing at most comments, and find his site very useful! Can't wait for the april calendar to come out :) his pictures are wonderful too!!!! GOOOOOOO Josh!!!:cheer2:

I'm another fan and don't think he's even slightly bitter. Well written with an edge (I appreciate a sarcastic sense of humor) and truly great information. I've found his advice more accurate and valuable than Touring Plans, which I had paid for. Bonus: Easy WDW is a lot more fun to read.

If it's not your thing, I'd say skip it.

Totally agree with PP's. I check his site nearly every day and I find him very amusing.
