Easyjet & family boarding question

In the past I've booked speedy boarding or equivalent on every flight we've ever done.
In January one of our group is aged 5 and as I understand from Easyjet's T's and C's this means the group (maximum of 2 adults) are the 2nd lot of boarders called, after the speedy boarders.
So theoretically could my sister, brother in law, niece (9) nephew (5) and son Liam (12) Easyjet T's and C's say children = under 16 all board together and then I go on in the 3rd lot of boarders ?
I'm not bothered about sitting close by but the booking is in my name, would that make a difference.
Or is there any chance Easyjet would let us all board together ?

Just checked Easyjet site and I could book 27 adult seats return for our dates, hence my reluctance to pay for speedy boarding on what could turn out to be a half empty plane :confused3
£120 could be better spent at Cafe Mickey ;)

The name on the booking doesn't matter and yes you could do 3rd boarding and therstof your group go on in 2nd boarding

We've taken 4 adults on with 1 child. We just went up and they didn't say anything. I hadn't read the T&Cs so didn't know you were only supposed to take 2 adults. We just went up when they called families with children.

It probably depends on the staff at the gate. I'd imagine the rest will get on but you might have to wait.

When I flew back from Paris in October, easyjet didn't even call families forward, and poor people with buggies struggled to get past all the people waiting. They ended up waiting for 40 minutes on the gangway too, easyjet obviously don't want any delays loading up....

We flew with Easyjet at Christmas. In Belfast and in Paris (Terminal 2b) there was a sign in front of the boarding gate indicating that speedy boarders queue on the left and everyone else on the right. In reality, after calling speedy boarders, families with "young children" were called to queue on the left. Previous flights have used the same terminology although occasionally they have announced "families with children under five". None of the families on any of these flights (whatever their make-up) seemed to have any problem boarding in this second wave.

It's like everything else though, some staff follow rules to the letter while others exercise some discretion with their interpretation, so your experience could be different.

I would go with the rest of the family, and in the unlikely event that you are held back, I'm sure you'd find that somehow a seat beside them is still available for you!

We travelled with a group of 6 - 3 adults plus 13, 5 and 4 year olds. We boarded straight after speedy boarding in Belfast.

We're really sorry if we pushed in front of you on return but we had been going through airport slowly due to lack of toilets at gate! When we got there boarding had started so we asked if we could jump the queue and staff said yes. Still we were all home 30 mins early but again apologies.

So in short no probs boarding as a group that I've noticed.

Thanks for all the replies :goodvibes
My children were both over 5 when we first flew so I've always paid the extra for piece of mind, think we'll keep an eye on how full the flights get before we make a final decision, the maximum number of seats that can be booked in 1 go is 40 and at the moment it's letting me book 40, in fact it's telling me there are only 43 seats left under "x" amount, which means the plane is at least 1/4 empty at the moment, fingers crossed it stays that way. ;)

We have always been called on the second group when travelling with DS (who is now over 5) but when we last went all together DH was on a seperate booking and they allowed him to board with us both at CDG and in Belfast - I would just go forward when they call you to board or ask about it when checking in - online checkin might automatically allocate 2nd boarding to you as you have a child of 5 and under on your booking (I think it did with ours).
