Sorry. This was inthe Kissimmee Maingate area, $39. a night.

I think it's Clarion Hotel Maingate. You might go to biddingfortravel and look at bidding for a 3* hotel with PL. You might be able to get a much nicer property and still be close to your price.

definitely the Clarion Hotel Maingate. If you go to its website it has that exact same quote "so close we take you there".

I am not sure if this will interest you or not, but I checked out Priceline and the 'off the record' deals on EasyClick Travel but eventually decided to go with Hotwire. I got the Doubletree Club for $44 which seems to be a decent hotel for a decent rate.

When did you get the doubletree for? Did you have any discount codes? that seems like a pretty good deal.

By the way, I am also from Canada. Love to visit Florida.

I got the Doubletree for our stay May 6th to 13th. You don't need any discount codes for Hotwire. I found www.betterbidding.com to be especially helpful as far as Hotwire is concerned. If I recall correctly, the Doubletree Club is the one and only 3 1/2 star hotel listed, so it was very easy. If you have any questions, please let me know.

P.S. Yes, I noticed you were a fellow Canuck. Are you sick of snow yet?

Yest I am tired of it, but today is really nice, the sn is shining, hope it melts it all away. I can harely wait until Apr 6th, just wish we had our first 3 nights booked. I am waiting for a confirmation from Easy Click. We won a bid on Sky Auction but there was no availabilty for the nights we wanted. Now are trying for the Amerisuites in Lake Buena Vista South. I guess planning is half the fun. Have not ahd any luck with Priceline, been trying for a few months.

I was very close to trying Priceline in hopes of snagging the Best Western LBV, but then I chickened out. It certainly is a gamble, but perhaps I shall give it a shot next time.
