Can someone suggest an easy to read nad understand book about photography and using camera settings to me? I have a Canon IS2- and want to learn how to use it more then just on the automatic setting.

I'm also lookinmg for some suggestions regarding how to go about learning one thing at a time. Is there an order I should learn it in? I start to learn and then it all becomes too much for me and discourages me from continuing.

ANY info you all could share with me would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

The author mentioned above also has a book out called Digital Photography.

They cover nearly the same things and I have both - but I honestly prefer Digital Photography. It was the first I read and I think covered more related to the digital side - plus it has a small tutorial on photoshop.

Wow, that looks like just the book for me too. I have the S2 but the camera hasn't really changed all that much. Thanks for the link Dan.

I've been lurking around here for a little while, and this was a question that I have been meaning to ask. Thanks for all of the great suggestions!

I have been looking at the Canon S3-IS, and I think that I'll probably end up getting it soon.

I used to know more about photography back before I had kids. I even had a simple darkroom set-up. I seem to have forgotten a lot, and of course, I need to move into the digital age.
