Anyone have any experience - good or bad - with this? It seems pretty risky, like getting your hotel in a grab bag, but the rates sound great. Any idea waht hotels they offer? Here is the site description of a "3 star" property for about $40:

"This property is located only minutes from the Walt Disney World Resort maingate entrance. Guests will enjoy all of the amenities our hotel offers such as our tropical outdoor heated swimming pools, fitness center, game room and much more.

Dining possibilities range from sitting down and enjoying an all-you-care-to-eat breakfast buffet and specialty dinner menu at The in house resturant to selecting an assortment of snacks and beverages at the deli/general store or you can enjoy appetizers, sandwiches and cocktails at the in house diner.

For outdoor dining, join us at the pool bar and grill where we serve sandwiches, snacks and refreshing tropical drinks.

Come stay at the hotel where a lifetime of memories awaits you.

**Mandatory Resort Service Charge to be paid directly to the Hotel by Guest of $2.75 plus tax per room per day."

Any thoughts?

My DB &SIL book with them all the time, and have never had a problem...to find out what the "OTR"resort is, just type the description into Google, and it should come up:)

Looks like it's the Ramada Inn Resort MAingate...

Awesome! I'll try that. Thanks!

I've never used them or heard of them. Sounds like the run an operation similar to priceline. You pay and then find out your hotel????

Just a discount booking site:)

Sometimes they feature "off the record" hotels..you know the price that you have to pay, but not the hotel...unless you have Google!;)

The hotels cost more than with PL. They give you a price and a detailed description of the hotel. Sometimes they give you enough information to identify the hotel without even having to goggle. The description of the swan gave the number of rooms and the size and weight of the swan that's on the roof of the hotel. You can frequently even cancel, read the fine print. Sometimes there is a cancellation fee and sometimes you can't.

By witholding the actual name of the hotel most hotels won't have to honor their best price guaranty and allow you to book on their own website. You might not get frequent stay perks like FF miles.
