Eastern Carribean Trip Report

Hi Everyone

Would luv to read a trip report for a Eastern Carribean Cruise (with no Star Wars Day) to get some idea of what our next cruise would be like.

If anyone can point me in the right direction that would be great - TIA

I wrote one of our November/December 2014 cruise: From the Sea to the World - Holiday Edition - Completed The cruise part starts on page 6. It was a Christmas season cruise, but I think that stuff is just additional. Also, we went to San Juan, I think now the Eastern all go to Tortola, so one port is different.

Thanks Everyone - I will start reading these tonight once the kids are in bed. Very excited to start planning cruise # 2 on The Fantasy. Traveling from Australia so trying to do all the research and homework before we leave - I have heaps of time to do this which is great.

We just finished an Eastern Caribbean cruise on the Fantasy (April 9-16).

Overall, I liked it a bit more than the Western Caribbean cruise we did a couple of years ago. I particularly liked the extra sea day as I'd rather be at sea than in port.

At Tortola, we did the Baths. Pretty good excursion but the boat ride over to Virgin Gorda was a bit rough.

At St. Thomas, we just did the Sky Ride to Paradise Point, which only took about an hour (as noted above, I prefer being on the ship). FWIW, a lot of people raved about Magens Bay beach.

The seas were pretty smooth except on our second and particularly on our last night (the ship was really rocking between about midnight and 4 am).

The summer 2017 iteneraries came out while we were on the ship, which was lucky as I ended up booking Alaska onboard on the first day it was available.

I'm in the process of my TR for the trip we just took over Easter.

What a great report - thank you for sharing. Certainly helps with planning etc. We are off on our second DCL cruise in APril 2017 so still a while to go for us.

We are in the process If booking our excursions for an eastern Caribbean at the 32nd of July inn the Fantasy...debating on The Baths vs. Beach outing at Fusion...anyone have any input?
