Eastern 7 Day - Which Side of Ship?

Which is the best side of the ship for the Eastern itinerary? left or right? I always seem to book the left side for a cruise, but almost always we end up docking and all of the action is on the right side (or the land is on the right side when we're cruising). Any suggestions?

We were on the port side. We faced Kennedy Space Center as opposed to the DCL terminal in Port Canaveral. We faced away from the pier at St. Maarten and had a view of a commercial port (ugly). We faced town at St. Thomas (pier side), although in St. Thomas I think either side would have a great view. We faced the pier at CC, although from that side you can't see the beaches. So CC would be a tossup.

It's my understanding that at CC they will dock facing both directions depending on the prevailing winds.

We're planning on sailing the Magic again and hoping for the same stateroom.

We're facing starboard and that was only by luck. We had originally book a cat 10 on deck 2. However, a secret porthole room opened up and we will now be in 5520. It really didnt matter to us which side - Im just really glad we got the spr
