Easter week Trip Report

Leaving the studios was less than magical. The fort is the only resort with no shade and no permanent sign. Not sure if this is because of the holiday or not, but they should at least have some umbrellas to block the sun. At 4 pm it is HOT in the direct son.

Guess they figure campers like to rough it. I said the same thing when we were there in March. Funny.

I agree Bama, pulling a chair up and cracking open a beer to watch somebody back in is part of the entertainment. I call foul!
FSU Ed, good to hear from ya. Following along with ya man!
It can go both ways, I watched a guy with a back up camera.......back right up into a TREE. Thanks fort the trip report, wish I could be there to help with the request about the drink menu.

Great trip report! I'm so jealous that you live so close to all the magic! Even though you are so close to home it must be such a nice getaway! Looks like you had a great time in the parks too....I haven't been to DHS in so long I don't think I will recognize it when I finally go back!

Really enjoying the pictures you are sharing in your TR. Looks like you're making lots of great family memories at Disney. Enjoy your remaining time there. PS.... Thanks for those parking garage pics. Will definitely share these with DH for our May vacation.

Agree with you on this. It was the same way when we were there in November last year, the only resort with no shade or designated spot. Figured it was just one of those things being redone of something, guess not if it still hasn't been fixed.

Great pics and report so far. I like what they have done with the Hub, can't wait to see it in person in October.

You reminded me I have to make reservations for my girls for the BBB on 10/13, the same day we are doing the MNSHP. My wife insists it be done and the girls are in agreement...moneypit...

Only pic request I got is...as if you guys didn't already know...well, one of those grey, bushy tailed, food stealing, tree climbing, and entertaining varmits that are running all over the Fort. You can figure it out. Just one pic will do...

I will be posting a TR very soon and I have some critter updates for the critter page....very interesting! And we had a squirrel try to LEAVE the fort with us. No pics though. He realized he wanted to stay there where everything is amazing.

Friday was a busy day for us. We started off with a fort day and ended up at the Magic Kingdom as a last invite request from dds.

We started with Breakfast at Trails End. Very yummy Buffett.

Next up was canoeing. The girls had fun. Momma ran Hannah into a bush with spiders. That did not go to well. They saw a turtle and an alligator on their trip.

We then headed over to Magic Kingdom. Did Haunted Mansion and Tom Sayers Island. Best surprise of the week.... aunt Pollys was open.

Aunt Pollys! Limited menu. We are told they did a two week test. If they did well, they may consider opening the entire summer and adding ice cream!image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

We played at the Fort and played checkers with some other guests too!

Then we had some ice cream on Main Street.

All in all a very busy day. But great way to spend the last day.

Saturday was pack up to go home day. Before leaving we saw them training these two mini horses. Neat to see.

And one last request before we left. TiggerdAd needed a critter picture. Here are a few.

Thanks for following along. We had a great time and will be back in October camping there.

Thanks again,

FSU Ed
