Easter week Trip Report

Wow, that was a serious drink menu! I want the wild turkey!! Your DD looked soo cute!! My DD has wanted to do it for years but I suspect by the time we can get a reservation she will have outgrown it...who knows...she doesn't want to wear her princess dress to the parks anymore...sigh. Great pics all around too!!

The pictures of the drink menu reminded me that it is time for a tour of the Yuengling factory and some free beer tasting. Very nice pictures and looks like great weather there.

Kathym2, my wife completely agrees with you. The 11 year old has grown up and out of the princesses. However, she did agree to get her hair done. So have hope.

PaHunter, the weather has been fantastic. Sunny all day with a high in the 80's. Rain moves in on Saturday when we check out for the 45 minute trip home. Lol.

We went to Hollywood studios today. Girls are in the pool now as I type this. Here is our day.

Studios opened at 8 today too. We got to bus stop about 8:30. Here are some pictures.

Next up is the Great Movie Ride. a family favorite.

They like to sit in the front row and have picture taken with our tour guide of the movies!

The oldest dd loves the show Once Upon A Time.

Saw lightning and mater.

The coach from Cinderella, the movie, is there. Long line in sun but worth it. They have a glass slipper too.

Then our absolute favorite snack on property! The carrot cake cookie from the Writers stop.

We love this cookie!

Lunch was at Sci Fi, a first for the girls. They LOVED eating there. We noticed how quite it is when you walk in there. Everyone is watching the movie.

Our parking violation, also known as the check. It is in the fun details, that keeps us coming Back for more.

Headed over to the Art of Animation. Girls did a drawing of Dale. Baymax and Hiro are still meeting there as well as the other usually.

image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

Baymax is so cute. The girls and wife want one. Lol

Leaving the studios was less than magical. The fort is the only resort with no shade and no permanent sign. Not sure if this is because of the holiday or not, but they should at least have some umbrellas to block the sun. At 4 pm it is HOT in the direct son.

At the pool this evening. A few more people tonight than at 9 am.

image.jpg

The girls still love it though!

The meadow snack bar recently got an upgrade. Here is the menu. image.jpg image.jpg

They are open 11 to 8.

They also have a drink refill station at the pool for the refillable mugs.

We are at the fort all day tomorrow before checking out on Saturday. Let us know if you need a picture and we will try to get it. Time to enjoy the pool!

Good night from the fort!

Ed and Suzy, gotta love them PACKERS and Cheeseheads.!!! Yep, our cows will be traveling down with us in December, along with the Cheeseheads. We are a tough bunch! Love your trip reports, and thanks for thinking of us. Enjoy, and send or blow us some warmer air to the Midwest.

Great TR. I am amazed by the changes in the hub at MK. I was there just about 3 weeks ago, and it was still all walls. It looks like it is going to be very pretty!

FSU Ed,

The carrot cake cookie looks deLISH and I am a sucker for a good Reuben sandwich. I order it every chance I get.

Thanks for the updates.

Bama Ed

Iheartpeterpan, the hub does look beautiful. Very different but in a good way. Eases some traffic in that area. Same can not be said of the small world/ Peter pan corridor. That place is crazy.

BamaEd. Do try the carrot cake cookie. It is amazing. We try to get it each time we are at the studios. Crazy good. It is at the writers stop and the villain sweet shop. Only at DHS though.

The rueben was relish too! Can't beat the atmosphere or the company :)

What does it say about me that I was just there 3 weeks ago and already want to go back? :)

We are local living about 45 minutes away. We are at Disney about two times a month due to being pass holders. We choose to spend most vacations at the fort. We really feel like we are in a different world. Takes us away from the crazy that is out there. We see so many new things each time we come here.

This week alone has brought us so many things we have never done. Today was the Sci Fi diner and the Cinderella coach. My wife and I had been to Sci fi b fore but never the girls.

We say come back as often as you can. It is our happy place.

Oh and Barb, can't wait to see you at the holidays! And the cows too!
