The Easter crowds are secondary only to Christmas, ie: VERY busy!

I agree with the PP - Christmas is the most crowded, followed by Easter, then Thanksgiving.

We went to WDW during Easter week in 2013 and it was very crowded, like a 45 min wait for Swiss Family Robinson Tree House crowded!. However, if you plan right and take advantage of AM EMH, it's not bad at all. We were up at the crack of dawn every day, as some parks without EMH opened early as well.

We left the parks right after lunch and returned either for dinner or after dinner. We used FP when we could (this was before FP+) and we didn't wait more than 30 min for any ride all week long.

I too found the crowd levels high and that going to the parks early, leaving at mid-day and returning towards evening helped.

We go to WDW every Easter. Crowd levels depend on when Easter falls. This year, 2014, Easter was in later April so crowds were VERY manageable. Not even worthy of saying it was crowded, to be honest, as we went on more rides than we ever have due to lower crowds.

However, when Easter falls in late March/very early April, it's a whole different story. I believe Easter was in this time frame in 2013 and we definitely noticed MK to be crowded. I believe in 2015, Easter is early again, so I'd guess crowds to be heavy especially at MK. But the FP+ system helps with this because you can just pre-book your must-do rides ahead of time.

You are used to crowds at Cmas, Tgiving, and early June, so you should be just fine with Easter week. Especially by utilizing the FP+ system.

:thumbsup2 Great post!

I've been on the Easter week(s) many times, and Thanksgiving twice. I've also been multiple times where we arrived the Sunday after Thanksgiving. The only month I've not gone to WDW is June. I've also avoided Xmas week. Also lots of visits on other holidays.

It's not the crowds, it's sky high room prices! I think this Easter was the craziest in terms of sky high room rates. I'm betting that also had an impact. Just a few years back, prices were not quite as crazy.

If you tighten up your game, there are always ways to dodge the worst of the crowds. I agree Xmas is worst week, the rest are comparable, somewhat variable.

WDW adjusts park hours depending on expected crowds. They also seem to add little soft attractions, like extra character greets, maybe CM tour guides in AK to answer questions. That sort of thing. So maybe you spend less time on headliners, and more time doing short-line attractions.
