Easter Egg Surprise

We have an August trip planned. So far the boys don't know. I love to talk about our upcoming trip with them! I thought that Easter might be a fun time to let them know. I thought I could incorporate it with an egg hunt on Easter. My thinking is to put letters on each egg and color coordinate the eggs for each word so they know what letters go together. I thought they could spell "We're going to Disney World" ANy suggestions for anything else?

Maybe you could find the "Letters" in a magazine, and then glue them to a paper which could be the top of a countdown calendar... Have fun!

I would think you could write that stuff on an egg easily enough.

Have each egg be a different word.

Just use a white crayon or a clear piece of wax-we used to use my grandmothers sewing wax she had but we have evolved to crayons.

Thanks for the suggestions. I thought I would write each letter on a plastic egg with a sharpie marker. I like the idea of the countdown calendar...maybe I can take a photo and add that to a calendar?

Ohhh...we just bought him last night....I should definitely use him as part of the reveal! I could put th efinal answer under his feet and when he walk away, it could be there? Keep them coming! Thanks!

someone on here just posted that she did something like this the other day... i think she put words in plastic easter eggs that spelled out the surprise... it was neat!

my plan for my easter reveal is i bought a blank puzzle, i am drawing an airplane and mickey ears on it and putting each piece in a plastic egg for the kids to find and put together and figure out...

they can't really read yet, so that's why i am going to use pictures on the puzzle... otherwise i would just write "we're going to disney" or something like that... i hope they figure what my terrible artistry is supposed to be!
