What is on your menu?

Needing ideas! I have about 16 people to cook for.

Help!

Thanks! :)

I'm taking a raspberry lemon cake to a friends for dinner

I make a pistachio cake that is super easy and delicious. I don't have the recipe on me right now but you can google it. It's made with white cake mix,a package of pistachio pudding mix, a cup of Sprite and I think eggs and oil. the frosting is milk, cool whip and pistachio pudding. It comes out a pretty pale green.

Ya recipes please..the raspberry lemon cake sounds soooo good!!!

Old Fashioned Banana Pudding! It's our family tradition. I use the recipe that was on the box way back when (no instant pudding or whipped cream), the same one my mom used.

Everyone loves it, but I only do it for Easter.

Thanks for some of these ideas! I have the whole meal figured out EXCEPT dessert. I am just not that good at picking out something!

My wife is making a chocolate souffle and I'm making Cassata. It's an old family recipe. ::yes::

We'll have candy here and there of course, but those are the two main features.

I may make an Easter Bread too (it's a sweet one) but am not sure yet.

Another traditional pineapple upside down cake and whatever other creations our kids bring to our feast. :goodvibes

Yep, here too. We're having pork tenderloin, ham (was split 50/50, now doing both), twice baked potatoes, green bean almondine, green jello salad (not my favorite by any means, but its a tradition in DF family. Its more of a fluff than just the jello and pineapple) deviled eggs and then rolls. There will also be some appitizers chili cheese frito corn dip, and some veggies.

Its a pretty big meal, so I thought about just doing cookies, but I heard alot of moans and groans. Plus its easter! And I want to incorporate jelly beans too (maybe just on the side?) because DF lives for them....

Thanks for all the suggestions, I truly appreciate it! :thumbsup2

We had one of these:

made by my Grandma every year. Some years, I still make one. :thumbsup2

My MIL emailed everyone about 2 weeks ago and they are taking us all out for dinner on Easter. It actually has me a little worried because DH and I have been married for 20 years and his family NEVER plans ahead for stuff like this :lmao:.

My Mom called this "Polish Drumstick" and I don't know why:

Mix together:
2 cups crushed vanilla cookies
1/3 to 1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup melted butter
Press into a 9 X 13 pan and bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Let cool

Cream together:
8 oz. cream cheese
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 cup powdered sugar
Fold in 2 cups of Cool Whip and spread on crust.

Mix 2 - 3 oz. packages of Instant Chocolate Pudding with 3 cups of milk and pour over the cream cheese mixture.
Spread 2 cups of Cool Whip over pudding mixture and then sprinkle with nuts and shaved Hershey Bar.
This is sooooo good! :)

We're having pineapple upside-down cake, too. I think that'll go well with a ham dinner.
