I have a bonnet my great-grandmother made and used to wear. The one I have was made from a parachute from one of the World Wars. It's ivory colored and lovely...

I will see a few tomorrow morning. No one wears hats to church normally, but on Easter day we always have a couple of ladies wear them. I always wore one as a child.

I haven't seen them in the storea for as long as I can remember. My girls have never had one. They wouldn't of worn them and I am not much of a church goer but now I feel like I missed out on something with them. I would laugh pretty hard to myself though if I saw a grown woman in one though.

LOL yeah I would laugh if I saw an Easter bonnet too. Our church ladies wear gorgeous custom hats.

Well, Easter bonnet doesn't really mean a little house on the praries style bonnet--it means a hat (usually straw) decked out in flowers or what have you. I guess if some of you find those hysterical you would at me today (and every Easter) and at DD12 (she looks like an older teen). We relish the excuse to dress a little nicer and enjoy this part of fashion from days gone by.
