hey all,
Just freaking out here, cuz Easter is coming so quickly. It seems to be so early this year.
Well here is my delema. I cannot come up with any ideas to get my neices and nephews for Easter. Neices are 6 and 3 and our Nephews are 5 and 3.
We are all going to Disney in May so I thought I would make them easter baskets full of Disney stuff. Well I just found out this morning that both my sister in laws are doing the same thing for all the kiddos. They got the kids matching t-shirts, sunglasses, lanyards.
Please give me ideas for a Disney themed Easter basket for the kiddos.

Thanks
Fran

My kids will be three in May. For dd's basket I got a snow white dress up set (a cheaper one - $16 at toys r us) - it has a dress, shoes, tiara, etc and I am taking it out of the box and putting it in her basket with a princess sippy cup and a travel sized princess doodle pro. For DSs' baskets I got train conductor dress up sets, thomas the tank engines that light up for their wood set and travel doodle pros.

Other ideas I had that I gave to the grandparents are travel aquadoodles and color forms - there is a really cute disney princess one that looks like a book and has color forms in the front. Each page is a different princess to dress up. There is a cars one out now too. You could also do fun disney summer jammies that can be used on your trip.

Hope that helps.

ETA: Three year olds love those light-up spinny things. You can buy them at the disney store or outlet.

Here are some ideas:

* crocs (is it the official shoe of WDW yet?) and/or jibbitz
* bathing suit
* beach towel
* character caps
* quarters and pennies for penny press machines
* autograph books
* small photo album
* disposable camera
* from the Disney Store, magic washclothes, fans, plush animals
* DVD (nice for plane and resort)
* sticker book
* story books, books/music on CD
* goggles for pool
* flip flops

I am making DS and his two friends Easter baskets. I bought sand pails and giant Disney stickers form Family Dollar. I went down to the creative design boards and loaded tons of Disney stuff. I made them autograph books, t-shirts, a fun/activity book, coutdown 30 day calender and Epcot passport. I will get everything binded at Staples. When I am done they will have everyting they need for their trip and I will be out of ink.:rotfl:

~Color Wonder items for the ride to Disney
~For the younger ones, Walmart has stuffed Disney characters that are safe for the bath or pool
~Disney cups (2 for $10 at the Disney store)
~Target had Disney coloring books in the dollar section
~Homemade Disney trivia games for the older kids
~Hidden Mickey or other Kid's Guide book for the older kids
~For treats if you have a Mickey shaped cookie cutter you could make your own Mickey rice krispie treats
~Instead of a basket put everything into a Disney backpack

Don't forget the mini M&M containers to keep those quarters and pennies in for the pressed penny machines. Also, some Disney stickers to decorate them with when they are empty. (I also ordered the pressed penny books from WDW so that they already have them when they go!)

How about the cooling fans (with the foam blades)--I found one for DD3 at Wal-mart for less than 5 bucks. Or a spray bottle? ID bracelets? Sunscreen? Disney dollars?

Do a search for light up Disney pins/zipper pulls on Ebay--I got DD a great Tinkerbell one that she always turned on during the dark rides, but wasn't bright enough to disturb other guests.

Oh, and definitely the pins--I am doing the same kind of Easter thing for my nephews who are going in June and I stocked up at mousepinsonline!

Oh, I just thought of one more (if you are still looking!) How about making them personalized luggage tags? You can get them laminated at Office Max, Office Depot, etc., for about a buck a piece and you could even put them in a large plastic egg in the basket!
