Easter Baskets - how old is too old?

In my 30s and still receive a basket ((gift bag)) - I seriously have the best mom ever :goodvibes

I will do this for my DS as long as I can :thumbsup2

My oldest is a Junior in high school and he's getting one. Perhaps it helps that he has younger sisters, but I like doing it.

How old were your kids or yourself if you can remember! when you stopped filling Easter baskets?

My mother still gives DH & me a little basket (I'm 39.) His mom always sent us a one until she passed away last year.

DS15 and DD10 will be getting them this year, can't imagine their faces if there wasn't some little treats at their spot at the breakfast table Easter morning!

DW and I always filled baskets for each other, even before we had kids. No with DD, we still each get one. :)

My mother-in-law still makes one for my DH who is 46 as well as his siblings who are all in their mid to late 50s as well as the grandkids who other than my 10 year old are all in their 20s.

My son is 24 and I still make him a basket. In addition, I have to hide it :rotfl:

I don't think you are ever too old for an Easter basket. My mother passed away when I was 31 years old and she always made me an Easter basket.

As long as I lived at home... I was 22... my mom made me an Easter basket. I will do the same with my dd.

I'm 39 and my mom still makes me an Easter basket on the Easter's that we spend at her house. She still hides it from me and I still pretend like the Easter Bunny did it. It's just fun and the kids get a kick out of mom not being able to find her basket.

I will continue to do Easter baskets for my kids as long as they live here :lovestruc

I don't put a lot of candy or big things in there, I put a chocolate bunny, some m&ms, small things like pencils, erasers, hair ties, a small lego, sidewalk chalk, etc. My DD is 14 now and she'll get mostly school supply like things, lip gloss, body spray, hair ties, silly socks, etc. 8yo DS will get a lego, some candy, sidewalk chalk, bubbles, hotwheels, possibly a Webkinz.

DD is 16 and I'll make her a basket and one for DH who is 41. I love making Easter Baskets!

I recieved one until I got married at 23. I'm sure I will do the same- but we don't say that it came from the easter bunny. As for hiding eggs- I think last year was it. I still make a family basket of some goodies for dh & myself and both my dd's get their own. I have large plastic eggs that I fill with spring items- bathing suit or coverup, summer dress, pair of summer pjs. They will get very little candy but usually get some other spring fun items- pastel hair clips/scrunchies, spring colors in lip gloss & nail polish. A small gift card to sonic or the yogurt shop for an afternoon treat.

I am 36 and my sister is 35. I don't always make it home for Easter, but most times I do and sis and I still sit around and trade candy. Mom puts even amounts of everything in each basket and then you have to barter for the things you really want. "I'll give you one Snicker's egg, for your pink peeps.":rotfl2:

I love that so many do as I did! I made baskets for my four kids until they moved away or got married. The contents changed, but I even hid them as well as the eggs. They really enjoyed it. In fact, one year when they were all home from college I didn't dye eggs and they had a fit.:scared1: So, we dyed eggs and had a ball! One of my DDs will be here for Easter this year with my DGD who is 2. (her DH is in Afghanistan) I'm so looking forward to making her a basket this year!:yay:

no one ever gets too old for an Easter Basket!! Colored boiled eggs, although I like the plastic Disney egg covers, An Easter Card to remember the true meaning of Easter, 3 plastic eggs filled with, candy, toys, and cany eggs, are fun and a cute plush or chocolate bunny and then off to church in new a dress, hat, gloves and new shoes to worship for the real reasons of the holiday. And prayers for world peace!!

My oldest got one until he moved out , now I always have his favorite goodies waiting if he is going to be home, but if he isn't going to be here , then he is out of luck .

We always get together with my parents for Easter, I also make sure I have a bag of Russel Stover jelly beans for Mom and Snicker eggs for Daddy.

Never to old for Easter goodies : ) .

DS8 gets a video game for Easter, but I don't buy him much candy if any because he won't eat it . I always buy him a bunny of course, but just the ears get bitten off and that is all . He basket is usually , swimsuit, flops, outdoor goodies and one video game.

My DD is 20 and is in college. I send her one right before Easter to help her still feel connected to her family at home. It just makes her feel good!

My other children ages 16, 13 and 2 will also get one for Easter. :)

Those of you who do baskets for adults - what do you put in them? Love the idea. I actually did a basket for DH and I to share one year and was thinking I might suggest that we do baskets for each other this year. But I'm stumped on what to put in them - especially his. I'm running out of ideas for my 19yo DS too.
