We are coming to DW on the 19th of April. I know it is going to be busy, but DW is part of a larger trip to Florida (fishing, sea world, shopping, etc). We can not change our travel dates.

There will be 4 adults and 1 - 4 year old. Any suggestions on if the 2 bedroom units are usually full during this time period? We have the lead on a place in SSR, but we have no experience with any DVC property. The only disadvantage will be the distance from MK. Am going to cruise through other sections to find more info on SSR.

However has anyone ever stayed at DW the around Easter? Is there any place that you recommend? Does the park get decorated for Easter? Do you know if the DVC properties fill fast at this time?

I appreciate any ideas and suggestions for our first trip to DW. thank you

DVC villas get booked solid for holidays. And the parks are packed. They usually have some sort of Easter egg hunt - several years ago at OKW they had one (it was very difficult to find the eggs). You brought the eggs to the Community Hall (each child was limited to two) and you were given a prize based on the slip of paper inside the egg. Most of the time the slip was for some candy. Some were larger prizes like a small toy.

If you are planning on getting a reservation on points for Easter, you may be out of luck. Most members made their reservations at 11 months out.
