Easter at Disney....

Just curious if anyone has been to DW during Easter. Are there any special events? How crowded is it? Thanks for your help

We were there last Easter and yes, it is one of the busiest times of the year for Disney! Each resort has some planned activities on Easter (Easter egg hunt, games, etc.), but none are formally posted anywhere ahead of time so we couldn't do any planning. The gift shops were putting together Easter baskets to purchase. You could fill them yourself with items from the gift shop. I don't recall any special parades. Some restaurants had special dinner menus and higher prices. We had the DDP, so that did not matter to us. There was a church service I think at the Poly?? but there are many other churches in the area that hold regular services. PM me if you have any more questions. I spent countless hours planning that grand gathering.

Two of our favorites were the candy scrambles - kind of like an egg hunt except the candy is just scattered thru the grass rather than being in eggs. Also - we ate dinner at Yachtsman Steakhouse one Easter and there was a great dessert for the kids - a white chocolate egg with edible paints and a paintbrush so the kids could decorate the egg and then eat it - fun!

We are going to be there during Easter too for the first time. I already told the kids that I made special arrangements with the Easter bunny and he is coming to our house a week early.

We will be there during Easter week as well. It will be very crowded, not only is it Easter week but it is also April school vacation for many states. We go every April school vacation, I am a school teacher and this is the only time that I get, but it has been a long time since April school vacation and Easter fell on the same week. I am expecting the worst, but hoping that due to the economy it won't be as bad as it could be.
