Does Mears still run the shuttle to Universal for like $12? They used to pick you up at your Disney resort and drop you at Univ. Then when you wanted to come home you called and they would pick you up. It is a great deal. I hope it is still offered. Has anyone taken it lately? Do you know the phone #? Tx.

I was contemplating taking a cab from Dis. From what I understand, closest to Universal would be Downtown Disney. Is this correct?

There are two of us taking this trip and I thought cab might be a better option...

Anyone else?

We used Sunray Transportation, paid $60 return. Excellent service, very nice mini-bus (there were six of us) and as an extra bonus the driver played Stevie Ray Vaughn on the car stereo - made my dad's day.

yes, you need to be on the far east side of WDW property.

We are doing this in a couple of weeks and are using Tiffany Town Car. We didn't want to mess with the hassle of a rental.

Yeah..I used mears on my trip and they were terrible!! They picked us up from our hotel on time...but were awful picking us up. First of all you have to call hours in advance to be picked up...and they tell you the time you will be picked up. My group was there 15 minutes early and they booked too many people so half of us were stranded at universal. A bunch of other mears pulled up but were not picking 'us' up. After an entire hour we finally got picked up. I would spend the money for a taxi. This ruined my trip :(
I also want to point out that we gave mears the benfit of the doubt and tried using them again (we already had a reservation to use them 2 days later to go to ioa) The same thing happened. DO NOT RECOMEND!
