We're going on the trail ride. DH and guys are dropping us off at FW then going to play golf. We will be done before them and wondering what's the best way to get back to the resort using WDW transp.

What will we have to do? Take a Ft Wilderness bus to Epcot then Epcot to POFQ? Or bus to TTC then internal bus to POFQ?

TIA for any tips.

I know their are no sidewalks...but if you were up for it, you could WALK there a lot quicker!!!

Good luck!

There is plenty to do at the Fort after your ride.

I would ask DH how he will get back to the Fort after his round of golf is over. :rotfl2:

I would absolutely do that (DD and I don't mind hangin' out with horses for hours!), but we're leaving my mom back at POFQ (chillin). I want to get back to her as soon as I can so she doesn't feel we've deserted her.

Not sure where the trail rides start / end, but we did the carriage rides, and it was towards the back (close to HDDR), a quick walk to the boat dock. If this is the case for you, I think it may be quicker to catch a boat to MK, then bus to POFQ.

Have fun!!

Thanks and that would be a good suggestion but I found out that the trail rides are actually at the stables at the other end of FW (just off of Vista Blvd).

I would say DTD is the option with the least amount of distance to cover to get back, but you could grab any of the park buses and switch off to the POFQ bus. A cab might be a good option, it would take 5 minutes vs. at least 45. I agree with the PP that said it would be quicker to walk!

It is one of the few places around WDW that if it is a nice day I would just walk the sholders are wide and the view is nice. Otherwise I would just take a bus to MK and then MK back to POFQ.

If it were me, I would take the bus from FW to DTD and then a nice relaxing, lovely boat ride to POFQ - it's beautiful :goodvibes

I just mapped it. It's 2.14 miles from FW to POFQ going Vista Blvd to Bonnet Creek. I'm a walker so if it was just me, I'd walk it for sure. But I don't want to have DD11 worn out for AK the next day.

If I remember right, there are no sidewalks, so walking it would be very dangerous IMO, but my memory could be wrong. Don't think there are very many sidewalks anywhere, think it's their intention to discourage walking, and leave the transportation to them, or either drive.

There is really no walking between resorts except the Epcot resorts or say from the poly to the GF. If you start walking on the shoulders security will pick you up. Oddly they would probably take you to POFQ.

i would take the first bus either park or DTD, you couldhave a wait depending on time of day. bus stop is near stable in front. if i remember correctly seemed like a long time between DTD buses.
