Easiest loop for parking rig?

We have our first trip with our new trailer to the Fort in October. We have 5 trips under our belt for parking our trailer in the site, but that is hardly enough practice before trying to attempt the tightness of some of the loops at the Fort. I am trying to plan ahead for a loop that we could park in without having a major meltdown between my husband and I. If I remember correctly, the loops seemed sort of tight for parking. Any suggestions for a loop to request?

I have found that there are easy and hard to park sites in every loop. Its just the luck of the draw which site you get, they do honor requests for your size of the camper plus slideouts and awnings so do mention them.

If you are assigned a site and you cannot fit just call the front desk and they will find you another site. This happened on last trip, a little log fence along the road was enough to not let me swing my truck front and back into the site. They found us a better site which was was one of the best so far.

Its been my experience that if you run into a tight situation on a site that you just park it in another empty slot. Just go to the comfort station and let the front desk know about the site change. Or I have seen "assistance" given by way of coaching / guiding people to a site by Disney security.
There will also be plenty of "helpers" that come out for a show when you take more than 2 swipes at a site.

My personal experience has been that the non preferred sites are easier. They tend to be a little more spread apart. I like the 1000, 1100, 1200, 1700 areas.
King Tyryton is right on the money on the "helpers" after a couple of swipes, of course the level of help does vary some
It pays to have a very communicative spotter that is well trained.

Some of those helpers you are talking about might not mind helping if they weren't afraid of running into some of the jerks that are out there. You go and try to help someone and they blow-up.

A couple of small hand-held walkie-talkies does work alot better than the yelling and arm waving method for giving directions.

I thought so too, till I discovered that TBG doesn't even TURN HIS ON when I'm giving him directions.... he just wanted me out of the MH and a bit of peace and quiet to back into any spot....lol..... He's just been just quietly taking the walkie talkie, putting it on the console, parking the MH, then, thanking me and handing it back.

*sigh*.... I feel so..... used.

In March we did a drive through the loops to take a look and there was a guy trying to back in. He had a helper that showed up in his golf cart, but there is only so much one can do from outside the truck. We were patient because we knew that we might be that person some day. He kept the lane blocked for 15 minutes.

Also, you can add like 5 ft. to your actual trailer length which will help some.

Luck of the draw,, I hate it when that happens. We have been in some tight spots. the second to last site in the 800 on the right was tough.. Just take your time and like has been said, if you can't get in, find one you can and call to see if you can get it...we have a 38' 5er so I feel your pain.

And yet another lesson learned at the Fort! Most of the site markers are removable!!!!! Some how picking them up sure beats crushing a fender on them.

Gotta love my T@B. If I can't get it backed in the first time, I'll just get out, disconnect and push it into place!!!

Wow, I did not know that. I will have to remember that next weekend when DH tries to take off a piece of the MH!

Ok, guess what!!!? I backed our camper in yesterday!!! I am so excited and a little hopeful that I can do the fort. I had dh directing me. I kept having to tell him to slow down and give my little blonde brain time to think. But I did it!!!! I made it in. I consider it a pretty tight spot too. It is at the storage lot. (We just picked it up from the dealer after having a few connections tightend, tub caulked better, and sway control added.) I did have ds7 looking out the window making sure I did not take out the tongue of the camper parked across from us though. It was so close. I think it may be a little easier to control than the popup. The plus of the popup though is that you can see behind you. Now, if I can just get my niece to learn how to guide, I should have no prob at the fort.
