Easiest, Least Painful or Funnest Queue to wait in?

Hi all -

If there was a queue that you had to wait in, didn't get FP+, or maybe planned to go on a second time, is there one or more that are "enjoyable" to wait in? Of course no one wants to wait at all, but I've heard some queues have themes or activities or something like that to entertain you a bit while you wait? Interesting decor? Anything?

Specifically for MK, but interested for other parks as well, thanks!

Well, My kids love the Dumbo play pavilion so much that they begged us to go back when it was more crowded because they didn't have to wait at all between early hours and fast passes. We went one afternoon just so they could play in the big top for a bit.

My favorite queues are:
Haunted Mansion
Tower of Terror
Toy Story Midway Mania
Expedition Everest
Dinosaur
and PotC

haunted mansion and potc. (If only because they are cool, shaded, and semi-indoors.) The wait line for 7dmt is pretty cool closer to the ride.

I really like Tower of Terror, Toy Story Midway Mania, Kali River Rapids, and Journey of the Little Mermaid.

yes, I rather enjoy the queue for POTC since there is cool air coming up through the area. And you rarely totally stop moving

Haunted Mansion and Winnie the Pooh. The interactive stuff for the kids is fun, even for an adult. Space Mountain is fun too, when you get to the games.

I'd have to cast my vote for the ladies room line. It's air conditioned and you get to sit down. Sometimes there is drama in the line for the ladies room.

You might see line cutters or people with unruly children. You can see lots of different things in the ladies room like the groups who hang around the mirror playing "beauty parlor". There is also the sloppy sink hoggers and the people who hang on to the door so it stays shut for the person on the loo.

There are also the cheerleaders who harangue small children in to trying to "go" when the kids insist they don't have to. Perhaps my favorite are the people who try to dry off after riding on the wet rides by using the hand dryers. The physical conniptions witnessed to get in the proper drying position is worthy of any yoga class.

Yep... the ladies room is just as entertaining as any other ride in WDW!

Pirates has always been my favorite. It's indoors, feels like an old fort, and there are lots of neat details, like how on the chess board where the skeletons are playing, the pieces are arranged in an eternally unwinnable deadlock.....

My favorite queue is HM. The interactive elements are nice and there's a bunch of things to look at.

My least favorite is the Pooh queue, mainly for the bee slider they have in the tightest portion that had several children moving through the line back and forth playing with it and bumping into people.

Haunted Mansion

Went over my little one's head, but I enjoyed reading the tombstomes and all.

Winnie the Pooh, Little Mermaid, Toy Story and Expedition Everest are my favorites.

The new area they sometimes open up at Peter Pan looks really nice, too.

Faves:
Haunted Mansion
Pirates of the Caribbean
Expedition Everest
Great Movie Ride
The ones with interactive things or stuff to watch are easily the best.

Soarin... maybe.. (depending on the crowd your with if they get involved with the games... but since the games are far from perfect, its hard to stay engaged for the hour you wait..)

Worst:
-Any of the old queues that are crammed and outdoor heavy like Its A Small World or Peter Pan.
-The gas and oil fumes from the old cars probably makes the Speedway the worst. Especially in the summer.. it just draws the mosquitoes.

Also, even though it is not always packed, the waiting area for Philharmagic is great, being inside and having the spoof posters.

That, and going through Expedition Everest and Kali River Rapids, I always seem to find something I didn't see the last time.

I've also read I think that when you use FP of course you miss the main queue... so are there ones that you would recommend not to FP because the queue is bearable? We are going in February so not too concerned about the heat and outdoor factor really.
Of course I don't want to wait in the super long lines, but especially at MK, you just won't get a FP for every ride. So I'm trying to see if I picked the best ones or should tweak them.
I did get a FP for HM, but now am wondering if I should switch that to something else. However, TP tells me the wait could be around 30 min or so. Hmmm...
I also did NOT get a FP for POTC. Wait also could be 30 min, but it seems folks here don't mind that queue as much. Just trying to get a few ideas, not start a FP+ war or anything!!!!

ROFL:rotfl::rotfl2: It wouldn't be funny if it wasn't soooooooo true:eek:

If you've never seen the HM queue, I'd swap that for something, or ride twice if you have time. My favorite queue (and ride) is Everest; ditto for it. I have yet to see the new BTMRR queue; next time I HAVE to go standby. I also like the Pirates queue a lot, so I always just wait if there's a line.

And ditto to PP about the Speedway....gag. If I wanted to suck that many two-stroke fumes, I'd stay home and mow the lawn.

Best ones: POTC, Splash, and KALI

Worst one: Soarin, the interaction is so outdated;)
