Earthquake closed permanently

they can't change a lot of it, it will still be some kind of earthquake even if the name of the attraction changes I think

I saw this on Orlandosentinel.com. My dad told me about it.

"Disaster" it will be re-named and it will only be closed for 6 weeks. 6 weeks = fresh coat of paint, a new pre-show, and maybe some other changes. The end result will still be (most likely, imo) a situation where you experience an Earthquake.

Most of these attractions are down for months or over a year to make changes to the rides,I'm just wandering how many things can they possibly change in a month?Pre-show definitely needed a change and can be done in a month, but as far as the actual ride it's gotta be pretty much the same with a new name!!

Well, the ride pretty much sucked anyway...especially if you did it like we did. We were slow to get out of our seats when the doors opened (not knowing) and we had a very hard time, people were reluctant to move, getting a seat. We ended up in the VERY back, where you couldn't really see or experience the limited, "exciting" parts.

i remember this ride from sept- yup, was in the left side of a car and water poured out and thought i was gonna drown and die- just kept screaming and missed all the "action"
no thanks- wont miss it....:rolleyes1

I hope it's reopened by the time we go to US in Dec 20th. I liked Earthquake and I'm already sad that I won't be able to go on Spaceship Earth after 7 years since my last WDW trip!
