Ears at the parks

I haven't been to WDW in 6 years, and honestly don't remember how popular ears were when I went last. I've been to DL numerous times over the last few years, and it seems like everyone wears mouse ears of some kind. As I'm watching the "line videos" of Frozen, one thing I'm noticing is that it doesn't seem like that many people are wearing ears. Are they not as big at WDW?

It's about a million degrees in Florida. I love ears, but I won't wear a hat in summer that doesn't provide shade.

Idk I tend to see quite a bit of ears worn…usually by adults. I wear them every time I go.

This! I only wear my ears in the parks at night when the sun isn't beating down on me and it's not quite as hot. During the day I have a baseball hat with Mickey that keeps the sun out of my eyes.

I think maybe ears are just more common in DL, and I got used to it. I completely understand about wearing something to cover your face. I actually get hotter with any type of hat or cap (anything covering my head completely). I prefer the headband-type ears rather than the full on hat ears that I see a lot of in DL now. But I get the preference for a visor to stop the sun.

I wear mine (I like the headband ones) as often as possible, but as PP stated the summer months are rough. I tend to not wear them as often, as I'd hate to get them sweaty and gross, but this winter I am definitely getting the Minnie Christmas hat. I will be hoping for some colder December Disney days.

I like to get a pair each trip.

I think they are just as popular in WDW. I can't wear the ones they sell in the parks though, they kill the back of my ears within an hour. I bought mine from a very popular seller on Etsy and they are beautiful, comfortable ears. I cannot wait to bring my 2 new pairs on my trip in Sept.

It's a mixed crowd at WDW. It's hard to look anywhere with people and not see at least 1 person wearing them but it's not as widespread as it is at DL

I think way more people wear than at DL the WDW. I always wear mine! I have bought from a few people on etsy. Just love the custom ones!

I know, rite? Really painful - I don't know how you all do it! I can only wear my ears for an hour or so before I want to rip off part of my head.

We're doing Artoo, Threepio and BB-8 next trip. We don't go during summer though, so the heat is less of a concern for us.

i wear my sorcerer hat in the park but i have to take it off once in a while its so hot and my head sweats so bad ! With that said i do see a good amount of people wearing them still .

Each member of our family has several pairs and we buy at least one more set each trip. I think it just depends on the family.
