So I am trying to stock up for next weeks shopping spree and I was trying to find a quicker way to earn credits. Normally I Ned like everyone else, but today while I was waiting for that slow boat to pull up, I went and played Conquer the Sea (http://www.kelloggs.com/funktown/minisites/vmk/ConquerTheSea.swf)
I found that you can play it over and over by closing the window after you copy down the code and linking to open a new one. Each time you play you win a Table, a Chest and a skelaton that can be sold for 10 credits each. The real cool thing is you can play 24/7 and copy down the codes. I can play 3 games while I am nedding in another window. Thaty is 110 Credits every 3 minutes!

I am Rich!!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Yeah! (But I still can't win a stupid space suit :( )

Hope this helps!

When I played that I won the furniture as well as a Skull Rock room - are you just winning the furniture each time? Be careful if you are winning the room also because I don't think you can delete or sell rooms yet and it can be a hassle to own too many rooms!

This is my way of earning credits :)

Been doing this for a while now. Nice huh?

EDIT: like the above post says, be warned. I do this on a single mule account and then do resells like currently, the web divider. that way I don't have hundreds of skull rocks.

i did the same thing, and let me tell you, if you have a slow computer like me, NOT A GOOD IDEA AT ALL. everytime you want to go into your room, it has to load every room you get from every code you type in from that. if you have a fast computer, you are all set. if you have a slow computer, BAD IDEA, lol

I've done this too. In fact, I tend to open it in 2 different browsers."Play" one and get the code from the other. I copy and paste the codes to a word doc and after I have a few (I can fit 50 to a pg), I print it out. Makes it so much easier and you don't have to worry about accidently writing down a wrong code. :)

And I unload all these skull rock rooms onto a mule that I pretty much never use except for skull rock rooms. Then my main characters aren't loaded down with them. Then of course, all the furniture is traded to which ever of my characters I choose. :)

LOL yeah you can't delete the rooms.
I have over 30 skull rock rooms and lots of pirate: stuff to sell!

Can you trade the rooms to a mule???? Or do you just use that one character for the Kellogg's game to earn credits?

do what i am now doing, make a mule, enter all the codes, then bye the spider dividers, they sell back for 150 each, so if you have 2000, that is 1500 in the pocket

saxsoon, while you may earn a decent ammount of credits for doing that, I find that you can earn about 1,000 to 1,200 from doing JUST conquer the sea for 20 minutes. (one game and code evry thirty seconds about, Which on the low side is 3,000 credits an hour,

I find it slightly wrong to create a mule for just trading over spider web dividers. like you're not playing fair as the game was designed. Which in my point of view is "one to three characters per person(storage accounts maybe?) and not tons whenever you need credits." kind of an ethical thing if you get my idea... yeah. :)

EDIT: this is just my POV on the mule subject. (I have only two personally. One to hold extra furniture, clothing, and pins. The other for conquer the sea which has nearly a thousand skull rocks by now. xD )

Im really new to the game,

so can anyone tell me in detail about the spider thing you mentioned before :)

Call me a dummie but I really need some extra words on that ;)
Is it possible to trade Credits from one char to an other??

Thanks a lot!

Here's the bottom line:
- you can NOT trade credits directly from one character to another
- (most) items CAN be transfered, unlike credits
- selling most items returns only a tiny fraction of the purchase price
- people have noticed that spider web dividers yield a much higher selling price, relative to the purchase price, AND can be traded between characters

So, "the spider thing" refers to:
- creating a "throwaway" mule character, entering all the free credit codes, doing the music game, visiting the non-player characters (NPC's), selling all clothing, eventually yielding ~2400 in credits
- purchasing as many spider web dividers as you can
- trading the spider webs dividers to the "main" character
- having the main character sell the web dividers

In this way, it is possible to "trade" the credits generated by the new mule character to a main character, losing fewer credits than if you used other objects with worse buy / sell price differences.

I haven't done it, so can't tell you the exact numbers.

This thread refers to playing the Kellogg's game "Conquer the Sea", for which even losing yields a code that yields several items and a Skull Rock room. People do it dozens of times to get lots of items, and then trade the items to their main character to sell.

You do NOT want to enter the codes with your main character, because each code also gets you a Skull Rock room. Rooms can NOT be traded, sold, or deleted. So, if you entered the codes all on your main character, you would end up with dozens of Skull Rock rooms you couldn't get rid of, slowing your load times, and making it really difficult to find any rooms you actually wanted.

There, all spelled out in painful detail.

First of all,

let me thank you for the nice information :) I guess we all start as beginners sometimes ;)

So where can I buy the spider web dividers? And how do I transfer them to my main char?

Thanks again!

Just to add a note about virtual ethics and credit manipulation.

1. I don't use most of the methods mentioned as a regular thing, I enjoy playing the games and earning the credits. (I do have several mules I use regularly the same as my normal character) but I don’t feel anything is wrong with doing these things if that is how you chose to play.
2. If they cared if it was done they would note it to be not acceptable or prevent it from being done
3. There is virtually no difference between trading spider webs to sell and trading skull rock junk. In fact, buying and sell spider web things hurts no one while they occasionally run out of skull rock codes so figure that into your ethics question.
4. Lastly not accounted for here is the time it takes to move thing around and trade and sell things.

If you speed Ned you can play about 10 times in 15 minutes yielding 200 credits win fireworks and you get 190 credits in about the same time while zipping thru pirates can get you some points I would say as few as 0 up to 140 in 15 minutes.

It's all your preference on playing the game within the limits they set up. Nobody is wrong for doing the stuff until VMK says it is wrong. While scamming young players would be an example of something that would be unethical. Some people chose to beg and cry to get stuff, this might be considered wrong by some. I just find that anoying.

If the numbers go in order (I know they didn't start a 1) There have been Over 35,000 new characters this week if you look at the numbers. So obviously a lot of people are good at manageing mules or turning and burning them.

Just a note, it's a better deal to trade the clothes to yourself and sell them rather than having the mule sell and buy a divider. otherwise you're selling for 10 credits apiece and then losing 50 credits per divider.

You can make 10 grand in an hour if you get good...

You lost me there, GBShorts!!! I need to re-hash your post over and over in my brain! LOL!

Absolutely right. Shorts. LOL, as I said, I've never done this before, so I was just typing quickly whatever came to mind. All clothing / poster items should be traded to the main character, and THEN sold, rather than going from clothing -> credits -> spider web -> main character -> credits.
