Echo, echo, echo...cricket chirp...did I do something to offend all of my other readers?
So I have an eBay woe story. I ordered my Crocband flip flops from eBay. Got them, ripped off the tags, tried them on, and really liked them!!! Until I realized they were navy and I had ordered black. I couldn't tell until I went into natural light. I contacted the seller (who had 10 pairs of black listed the day I ordered and NOW had "sold out" listed...hmmmmm). She was very nice, and apologetic. She told me to return them and she'd ship it my black ones (it was someone else's mistake, she said, but she mysteriously had my pair of black still there). I agreed, and asked if she would paypal me back for the shipping. She refused. She said eBay's policy states that the buyer is responsible for all shipping even on returns. I politely responded back saying that I understood, but that it is bad business to require a buyer to pay for return shipping on a mistake by the seller. I'm not returning for a frivolous reason...you wronged me, so make me whole. She wrote back a very short reply of, "I will only cover first class shipping.". OK, fine! I'm not asking for more! A better seller would have IMMEDIATELY put money back into my paypal for hassle alone whether or not I was even returning the item! Grrrr. I've yet to send them back. I don't know if I even will get the black in time if I do. And who's to say she would be timely in shipping the new ones considering the fact that I apparently annoyed her. I wanted black for when I wore black shirts or black shorts. My dark brown Tevas will work (or even the navy crocs). Who cares if I look a bit dorky. It's Disney. People walk around with giant mouse ears on their heads.
On Saturday I'm raffling off a $3,000 Disney trip for the kids' school! I'm putting a few $5 tickets in for myself! A little bit of pixie dust before the trip!
I started packing yesterday. I'm trying the "ziploc bag" packing tip on this trip. I have most of the outfits in bags with undies. I'm keeping a few outfits out, of course. It was in the 100's here the past 3 days, but for the rest of this week and next it is supposed to be 60s-70s. The kids have 5 more days of school left, so I plan to keep 4 summer outfits out that I can pack quickly. Sophie has 3 sundresses that Scott needs to adjust straps on. They are too long. He's our family seamstress
. I'm not going to label the bags or choose the outfits for specific days. I like options. But it will be so much easier to just grab a bag. I have 14 outfits for each kid and a few extra underwear and shirts. I'm going to have to do laundry. I'm sure they'll go through more than one outfit a day. As I'm folding, I plan to put the clothes right back into their baggies. I've also put everyone's swimming suits and floaties in a big laundry bag. I'll probably do the same with pjs. I've discovered I have virtually no summer pjs for Finn and Sophie. Sophie will have to just rotate a few big T-shirt. Not sure about finn. I really don't have money to buy more. He has 3 sets. He can probably rotate through them for 2 nights each, and then I'll do laundry. We bathe the kids before bed, so I don't think it should be too gross, especially with air conditioning.
I can't remember if I posted about the dollar store trip... I'll have to go back and read. If not, I'll post on that in the next update!
Thanks for reading!!! Yes, I'm taking to all my reader out there.
