Early ticket pickup and switching to annual pass

For our next trip, we want to go down a couple of days earlier and do a early park ticket pickup (within the three days before package). Can I pickup early and change it to an annual pass?

Yes. As long as you use your tickets to enter s park at least once. As Cadyrose said, check out the Ticket Sticky on the Theme Park board.

I didn't do early pick up, but I upgraded my 10 day park hopper ticket to an AP on my 10th day - it was super easy and I ended up w/ 10 extra days on the AP as they set it to expire 1 yr after I upgraded rather than 1 yr after first use.

Is that true that if you upgrade your 10 day pass to an AP that the renewal day for the AP is when you upgrade? I looked on the sticky and couldn't find that exact information.

It is supposed to be one year from first use, not from the upgrade. That said, I too got mine active one year from the upgrade essentially giving me nine free days. I think the CM was as surprised as we were when the passes printed with that expiration date, but he scanned them and verified that the later date was shown in the system.
